  • Patent number: 6161611
Abstract: A radiator includes a radiating structure and two buckling devices. Channels are formed between the outermost two radiating fins and adjacent radiating fins. Openings are formed at one side of each of the two buckling devices for buckling with a CPU frame. Other side of the buckling device is protruded with respect to the two buckling pieces. A buckling portion is formed at the front lower surface of each buckling piece for insertion into the channel and is buckled into the buckling hole. A stopping rod protruded from the outer rim of the lower side of the buckling device, and is inserted into the slot for matching the resisting force for buckling the buckling device by the buckling pieces so that the buckling device will not separate from the radiating fins.

  • Patent number: 6077305
Abstract: A system and method are provided for selectively inferring latch elements in a circuit design from an event-driven hardware description language (HDL) file to an event-independent format. The method includes modeling the file as a plurality of data flow equations, analyzing the plurality of equations for uninitialized variables, and placing a latch at any utilized, uninitialized variable. Control signal information for an inferred latch is also derived during the data flow analysis.

  • Patent number: 5425388
Abstract: A telescopic umbrella case which possesses water-collecting function and light-reflecting effect for enhancing the safety of a user when walking at night. The umbrella case is composed of an innermost top sleeve member and several subsidiary sleeve members which are telescopically assembled and able to be extended into an elongated state for entirely covering an umbrella. A resilient water-draining valve is disposed at a top end of the first sleeve member. The water-draining valve includes a valve rod and a valve body. The valve rod is pressable against the ground to push the valve body away from a water-draining hole of the top sleeve member, permitting the rain water collected therein to flow through the water-draining hole down onto the ground.

  • Patent number: 5259344
Abstract: An intermittent fuel-injection method for two-stroke engine, which is done by means of an injection nozzle mounted under a cylinder head or on cylinder wall so as to have fuel directly injected into a cylinder to mix the air inside the cylinder into a homogeneous mixture; a controller is used for controlling the fuel-injection timing and quantity; the controller determines the injection timing and quantity in accordance with the engine intake air flow quantity and engine rpm; under idle running or low-load running condition, an intermittent fuel-injection control method is used so as to enable an engine to perform one, two, three, four or five scavenging and exhaust cycles after one fuel-injection cycle in order to obtain a steady and high combustion efficiency.

  • Patent number: 5241853
Abstract: This invention is directed to an exhaust fume sampling apparatus for a two-stroke gasoline engine with a closed loop engine control unit. The novel exhaust fume sampling apparatus has a fume duct, a sampling valve, and a sensor. The fume duct is connected at one end thereof with a fume inlet disposed in the wall of combustion chamber and is in communication at other end thereof with the exhaust pipe of the engine. The sampling valve is disposed on the fume duct and is capable of being opened up at the moment shortly after the combustion has taken place so as to permit the exhaust fume so produced to pass therethrough to enter the sampling apparatus. The sensor can measure the oxygen content of the exhaust fume introduced into the sampling apparatus and transmit the information in reference to the measured oxygen content to the engine control unit, which regulates the supply of fuel to engine in accordance with the information it has received from the sensor so that an optimum air-fuel ratio is attained.

  • Patent number: 4500331
Abstract: A kitchen exhaust apparatus comprises a fan housing which includes a cylindrical portion and an extension which extends tangentially and contiguously from the cylindrical portion. A bottom wall extends across the cylindrical portion and the extension, which bottom wall defines an inlet port in the cylindrical portion. A portion of the bottom wall located in the extension is sloped upwardly in a direction away from the cylindrical portion. An outlet port is located above such sloped portion of the bottom wall. A motor driven centrifugal fan is arranged in the cylindrical portion above the inlet port to draw-in air and cause particles entrained in the air to travel into the extension and upwardly and downwardly along the sloped portion. Drain apertures are located in the bottom wall so as to lie along the path of travel of such particles to facilitate drainage thereof into a gathering tray mounted beneath the fan housing.
