  • Patent number: 11954373
Abstract: The instant disclosure provides a data structure store system and a method of managing data in the store. The method includes receiving, by a data structure store management system, a request for storing data from a client. In the created data structure, each data element includes a portion of the data. On receiving a read request for at least part of the data, the data structure store management system provides at least part of the data to a recipient device. The data elements are stored in persistent memory in the form of one or more non-volatile random access devices, wherein during a time interval between receiving the storing request and providing the at least part of the data by the data structure store management system to the recipient device, the data structure store management system provides no portion of the data for writing to a hard disk drive.

  • Patent number: 11954253
Abstract: Embodiments describe a system configured with a brain machine interface (BMI) system implemented in a vehicle for performing vehicle functions using electrical impulses from motor cortex activity in a user's brain. The system uses fuzzy states for increased robustness. The fuzzy states are defined by sets of Gaussian kernel-type membership functions that are defined for steering and velocity action function states. The membership functions define fuzzy states that provide overlapping control tiers for increasing and decreasing vehicle functionality. An autonomous vehicle may perform control and governance of transitions between membership functions that may overlap, resulting in smooth transitioning between the states.

  • Publication number: 20240112088
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for vector-quantized image modeling using vision transformers and improved codebook handling. In particular, the present disclosure provides a Vector-quantized Image Modeling (VIM) approach that involves pretraining a machine learning model (e.g., Transformer model) to predict rasterized image tokens autoregressively. The discrete image tokens can be encoded from a learned Vision-Transformer-based VQGAN (example implementations of which can be referred to as ViT-VQGAN). The present disclosure proposes multiple improvements over vanilla VQGAN from architecture to codebook learning, yielding better efficiency and reconstruction fidelity. The improved ViT-VQGAN further improves vector-quantized image modeling tasks, including unconditional image generation, conditioned image generation (e.g., class-conditioned image generation), and unsupervised representation learning.

  • Publication number: 20240111555
Abstract: The present specification describes a computer-implemented method. A first comparison test is executed to determine whether an unknown object is of a first sub-class of a class of objects. Responsive to determining that the unknown object is not of the first sub-class, it is determined whether the unknown object is an instance of a second sub-class by determining whether there are additional sub-classes other than the first sub-class and a second sub-class. Responsive to determining that there are additional sub-classes, the second code fragment executes while refraining from assuming the unknown object is of a particular sub-class.
