  • Patent number: 9442027
Abstract: An elastic body load cell including a first beam and a second beam opposite the first beam, a base end and a load receiving end positioned opposite the base end. The first and second beams are connected to the base end and to the load receiving end via flexure points providing elastic deformation sections. A cavity comprising a flexible wall and sensor means is defined in the first and/or second beams with the flexible wall and sensor means placed between the flexure points. The sensor means measures elastic deformation of the elastic body in response to a load. The load cell further includes a lever having a first end connected to the flexible wall, and a second end connected to the opposite beam, the base end or the load receiving end, to transform movement of the second end into deformations of the flexible wall in response to the load.

  • Patent number: 8604809
Abstract: A capacitance measuring circuit comprising an oscillator circuit, where a sensor capacitance forms a link of a plurality of series connected impedances and where a square wave voltage is impressed on the series connected impedances from a separate high speed, a low impedance source and the measurement of the charging current, into the series connected impedances, is performed by a separate high accuracy current sensing device, connected in series between the low impedance square wave source and the plurality of the series connected impedances.

  • Patent number: 8096196
Abstract: A load cell includes a cylindrical ring with one end closed by a membrane configured to receive a load or force to be measured. A sensor carrier plate is arranged in a cavity formed by the ring and the membrane. The sensor carrier plate is coupled to the membrane to undergo a displacement upon deflection of the membrane. The sensor carrier plate has an inner and an outer portion and carries in the outer portion at least one sensor adapted for sensing the displacement and generating a signal based on the load or force applied to the membrane. The sensor carrier plate is movably coupled to the membrane at a location between the inner portion and the outer portion. At least one further sensor is arranged in the inner portion generating a signal changing with opposite sign with respect to the signal of the sensor.

  • Patent number: 7024948
Abstract: The invention relates to a precision load cell with an elastic body comprising a base end, a load or force receiving part and two or more beams connecting said base end and said load or force receiving part. At least one of the beams constitutes a lever connecting the load or force receiving part and a flexible wall of a sensor cavity placed in the base end. The flexible wall is adapted for undergoing deformation as the result of a displacement of the load or force receiving part through an action of the lever, and the sensor means are adapted for measuring the deformation of the flexible wall or the strain in the flexible wall.

  • Patent number: 3950920
Abstract: A collecting system for batchwise collection of rod-shaped objects, such as cigars and cheroots, having a collecting band releasably suspended at one end and the other end being located between a roller and spring loaded counterbacking whereby the band defines between the two ends a downwardly closed and upwardly open receptacle. A duct for feeding the rod-shaped objects communicates with the opening of the receptacle. A driver is connected with the roller and a control device is provided for ascertaining the presence of the rod-shaped objects at the upper part of the receptacle and for controlling the driver in such a manner as to gradually increase the length of the receptacle-defining band when objects are positioned above a predetermined level.
