  • Publication number: 20230386350
Abstract: In some implementations, a device may receive spatial data corresponding to an interior of a building and objects located in the interior of the building. The device may generate a digital map of the interior of the building based on the spatial data. The device may generate a geographic coordinate map of the interior of the building. The device may receive, from a sensor mounted on an uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV), sensor data indicating three-dimensional geographic points. The device may compare the sensor data to the geographic coordinate map to localize the UAV on the geographic coordinate map. The device may generate coordinate data indicating geographic coordinates associated with the geographic coordinate map and formatted in a global positioning system coordinate format and a National Marine Electronics Association format. The device may transmit, to a controller of the UAV, at least a subset of the coordinate data.

  • Publication number: 20220197304
Abstract: In some implementations, a device may receive status information for robotic devices. The status information may include locations and navigation plans of the robotic devices. The device may monitor, based on the status information, individual statuses of the robotic devices. The device may receive a mission request associated with performance of an operation. The device may select, based on the individual statuses, a first robotic device to perform the operation. The device may determine, based on a mapping of an environment, potential navigation plans associated with the first robotic device traversing the environment according to the operation. The device may select a navigation plan based on the locations and the navigation plans of the robotic devices. The device may stream navigation instructions associated with the selected navigation plan to the first robotic device to cause the first robotic device to traverse the environment according to the navigation plan.

  • Patent number: 11127414
Abstract: A method of echo cancellation in hands-free communication is disclosed. The method includes: receiving, via a receive signal processor, a far-end audio signal; providing the far-end audio signal to: an acoustic echo canceller module as a reference signal, and at least one loudspeaker for playback; determining an external gain value associated with the far-end audio signal, the external gain applied to the far-end audio signal downstream of the receive signal processor and prior to playback from the at least one loudspeaker; adjusting at least one parameter of the acoustic echo canceller module based on the external gain value; receiving playback output of the far-end audio signal from the at least one loudspeaker as an input signal to a microphone; and processing the microphone input signal by the adjusted acoustic echo canceller module to produce an echo-cancelled signal.

  • Patent number: 10984808
Abstract: A sub-band processing system for reducing computational complexity and memory requirements is disclosed. The sub-band processing system includes: a first logic that partitions and stores a frequency spectrum of bins of real and imaginary data into a smaller number of sub-bands; a second logic that executes a first lossy compression for a first set of the sub-bands, wherein the first set includes those sub-bands having indices that are greater than or equal to a first index; and a third logic that executes, subsequent to a frequency spectrum processing of the lossy compressed data rendered by the second logic, a second lossy compression for a second set of the sub-bands, wherein the second set includes those sub-bands having indices that are less than the first index and greater than or equal to a second index.

  • Patent number: 8879438
Abstract: System and methods provide acoustic echo monitoring and cancellation for real time media processing in an internet protocol (IP) media server in an IP network. An echo monitor is configured to selectively compare audio streams into and out of the IP media server through a selected port. The comparison determines an occurrence of an echo. An echo canceller in communication with the echo monitor is configured to respond to the determination by the echo monitor so as to remove the echo from at least one of the audio streams. A talk burst detector may be used to detect speech in at least one of the audio streams through the selected port. The echo monitor selectively compares the audio streams in response to a signal from the talk burst detector that indicates detection of speech.

  • Patent number: 6304842
Abstract: A method of encoding signal segments which represent unvoiced plosives. The signal segments to be encoded are contained within a speech signal divided into m=1, . . . , N frames. Each frame is subdivided into l=1, . . . , L subframes. The speech signal has a gain gm(l) within each subframe. An energy measure em(l) representative of the signal segments' energy content is defined. An energy threshold eth(l) representative of a sudden energy change characteristic of an unvoiced plosive is also defined. For each frame, the energy measure em(l) and the energy threshold eth(l) are derived for each subframe within that frame. If em(l)≦eth(l) for each subframe within a particular frame, then a plosive locator lpl=0 and a plosive index ipl=0 are assigned to that frame to indicate absence of a plosive within that frame.

  • Patent number: 5815532
Abstract: A method and apparatus for reducing peak-to-average power ratio in a paging transmitter broadcasting an independent sideband amplitude modulation protocol is disclosed. A digital signal, for example a digital voice signal, is provided to a control gain generator which generates a digital gain sequence. The digital gain sequence is such that during peak values in the digital signal the gain is low and during low values in the digital signal the gain is high. The digital gain sequence is multiplied with the digital signal to compress the dynamic range of the digital signal.
