    Abstract: The present invention provides hydroxy-functional esters having at least one terminal acrylate-functional group. Preferred esters include those represented by the following formula (1): wherein each R1 independently represents a substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic group; R represents hydrogen or methyl; a represents an integer of 0 to 5; b represents an integer of 0 to 5; a+b=at least 1; c represents an integer of 0 to 3; and A represents an alkylene, heteroalkylene, or arylene segment.
