  • Publication number: 20230233173
Abstract: A pleural effusion pre-screening system may be used to administer a percussive treatment to a patient's chest and/or back, sense the respiratory sounds from the percussive treatment, and analyze those respiratory sounds. The pleural effusion pre-screening system may have a high frequency chest wall oscillation (HFCWO) vest which includes at least one adjustable strap.

  • Publication number: 20230099402
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for High Frequency Chest Wall Oscillation therapy can include a therapy garment including a covering garment for dressing on a patient's torso, the covering garment including a bladder pocket defined between inward and outward layers, and a fluid bladder arranged within the bladder pocket. The fluid bladder can define a pressurizable chamber adapted to receive pressurized fluid to provide force of high frequency pressure oscillation to a patient's chest wall. The pressurizable chamber can be formed to define an outer profile shaped to correspond closely with the patient's rib cage profile to reduce transfer of force of high frequency chest oscillation to the patient's torso outside of the patient's rib cage profile.

  • Patent number: 11381190
Abstract: A torsional mode damping controller in which the controller modifies electrical power to an electrical motor to provide active damping control of torsional vibration in rotating masses. The controller receives a measurement of a rotational speed of the rotating masses ?m and an estimate or a measurement of a torque transmitted between the rotating masses Tsh; based on the received transmitted torque Tsh, generate a compensating torque to suppress vibration Tcom; based on the received rotational speed ?m and the compensating torque Tcom, generate an electromagnetic torque modification signal Tmodi; and modify the electrical power provided to the electrical motor on the basis of the electromagnetic torque modification signal Tmodi. The controller is further configured to generate compensating torque Tcom by applying a filter to the received transmitted torque Tsh, based on plural tunable parameters including a tuning gain K, a cut-off frequency ?n and a resonant damping ratio ?.

  • Publication number: 20220061694
Abstract: A patient monitoring system includes a microphone that collects audio data from a patient. The audio data is used to generate audio characteristics for categorization of the audio data and analysis of the audio data to determine a patient health status. The audio characteristics and the patient health status are tracked over time and utilized to monitor a respiratory condition of the patient. The system determines the patient health status based on a comparison of the audio characteristics with a database of audio characteristics associated with recorded health statuses of various patients. The system generates a report of the current patient health status based on the database of audio characteristics and associated health statuses.
