  • Patent number: 11965715
Abstract: Provided is a tool for providing long distance shooters with the ability to receive information from others in the field to adjust their weapon system for the best advantage based on distance, location, and range. The tool may implemented as an application on a mobile device such as a smart phone, for example, making the tool light weight, space efficient, and portable for use in the field. The communication ability allows for tracking shooting partners as well as on-the-spot coordination. The tool further provides range markings, yard lines, and topographic data that allow the shooter to make decisions based on real time data. Shooters are therefore afforded a tool that is portable, easy to use, and flexible enough to use in high-pressure environments.

  • Publication number: 20220308575
Abstract: The present invention provides a system for control and guidance of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) using modulated laser light in radio frequency (RF) contested environments. The system enables the user to send light signal communications to the UAV from a handheld device. In one embodiment, where the handheld device is capable of being incorporated into a firearm fore-grip with built-in controls that allow for control of the UAV by a user in a shooting/aiming position. The UAV includes an optical array for detecting and receiving the light signal communications, as well as filtering systems for filtering out unnecessary image data for better control in different weather and time conditions, as well as an avoidance system to avoid objects and other UAVs when used in a swarm of UAVs.

  • Publication number: 20220240787
Abstract: Temperature detection systems and methods for detecting temperature of an object are provided. The system utilizes either a predetermined temperature reference by using a well-behaved and calibrated thermal camera with reliable internal temperature reference calibration or one or more calibrated temperature reference devices, such as a blackbody reference, in view of the camera. The system then determines temperature values for each pixel within the image based on mean and median reference temperatures determined from the predetermined temperature reference or the calibrated temperature reference devices and identifies any pixels in the image having a predetermined characteristics, such as those pixels having a temperature greater than the predetermined reference temperature or some other threshold, or, alternatively, pixels in a range of temperatures.

  • Publication number: 20210401294
Abstract: A temperature detection system and method for detecting a correlation between temperatures on a subject and a temperature reference is provided. One or more calibrated temperature reference devices, such as a Body Temperature Reference blackbody system is used with an emissive source detector, such as a Mid Wave Infrared (MWIR) or Long Wave Infrared (LWIR) thermal camera that is capable of imaging both a subject and the calibrated temperature reference devices. A processor maps each pixel within the image to a specific thermal value based on the mean and median reference temperatures from the calibrated temperature reference devices and identifies any pixel in the image having a temperature greater than the reference temperature. This information can be used to detect an elevated temperature from a subject. The system and method can be used to detect fevers, tumors, infections, parasites, and the like.

  • Patent number: 11110319
Abstract: A plank exercise assistance apparatus including a body having a base and slidable coaster mounted underneath the base are disclosed herein. The body includes a receptacle adapted to receive a foot of a user therein. The body further includes a heel stop extending upwards from the body to help secure the foot of the user. Additionally, the body includes a leg support adapted to provide support to the leg of a user as they are using the plank exercise assistance apparatus. The user sets their foot into the receptacle and they are then free to exercise in a manner that is effective, efficient and safe. The user is then able to slide the apparatus with their foot therein to complete variations of the plank exercise. Thereby allowing a user to exercise their abdomen, backs, shoulder, arms and legs with the various exercises they complete.

  • Publication number: 20180167806
Abstract: Devices including one or more input mechanisms for preventing power from being provided to one or more components of a mobile device are described herein. In some embodiments, a mobile device may include a privacy circuitry that includes a switch, such as a multi-mode switch. The multi-mode switch may be capable of being placed in at least two positions, where one of the positions corresponds to the mobile device being in a privacy mode, and at least one of the positions corresponding to the mobile device being in a non-privacy mode. When the mobile device is in the privacy mode, the mobile device behaves as if a power source for the mobile device had been completely removed, thereby increasing the mobile device's security for preventing external interrupts and penetration.
