One or more mobile devices register with a proxy server through a registration message that includes an identification value from a mobile application running on the mobile device. A persistent connection is established with the mobile device. A testing command is sent to the mobile application. The testing command directly manipulates a user interface of the mobile application. The mobile application returns a state message that describes the state of the mobile application after the testing command has been executed.
