  • Publication number: 20240088632
Abstract: A fish stick includes a light emitting component, such as a lighted tip, near the leading end of the fish stick. The lighted tip includes a curved lens that directs some light around an attachment piece at the end of the fish stick and generally in the forward direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the fish stick. The fish stick may be made of a phosphorescent material and stored in a lit container with an LED and reflective surfaces. The fish stick may be made of multiple rods that are threadably engaged with each other and include a spring biasing element that increases the coefficient of friction between the threads of the rods. The fish stick may also be made of multiple rods that are threadably engaged with each other via collars.

  • Publication number: 20240053816
Abstract: The following relates generally to using augmented reality (AR) for inspection of a property. In some examples, underlay layer data may be received (e.g., from a camera of an AR viewer device); and overlay layer data may be received (e.g., from a different camera or other overlay layer device). An AR display may be created by correlating the underlay layer data with the overlay layer data. A property inspection indicia may be identified based upon the correlated overlay layer data.

  • Publication number: 20240051563
Abstract: The following generally relates to using Augmented Reality (AR) to enhance the in-vehicle experience. In some examples, AR techniques are applied to provide AR indications of vehicle safety indicia to alert vehicle occupants to information that may not otherwise be perceptible. In other example, AR techniques are applied to provide emergency vehicle warnings to improve the likelihood of safe responses thereto. In yet other examples, AR techniques are applied to generated personalized outdoor displays, for example, to ameliorate conditions that may impair safe operation of a vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20240053162
Abstract: The following generally relates to using Augmented Reality (AR) to enhance pedestrian navigation. In some examples, AR techniques are applied to provide AR indications of a location of a group member that includes two or more AR devices. In these examples, AR techniques may be applied to determine a relative position of the group member and/or provide navigational guidance to the group member. In other examples, AR techniques are applied to provide AR-assisted pedestrian guidance. In these examples, AR techniques may be applied to present an AR display that includes information for a point of interest along a route.

  • Patent number: 10499991
Abstract: Systems and methods for processing insurance claims associated with a long-term care insurance policy are provided. According to certain aspects, an insurance claim that lists a set of services purportedly administered by a caregiver within a property of a policyholder may be received. Operation data may be collected from a set of devices that are populated within the property, where the operation data may be indicate a set of services that were actually performed. The set of purported services may be compared to the set of actual services, and the insurance claim may be processed accordingly.

  • Patent number: 10089695
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing a long-term care insurance policy associated with a property are provided. According to certain aspects, configuration data associated with a component installed within the property may be received and analyzed to determine that the component is not included in a long-term care insurance policy of the property. The component may be analyzed to determine a discount associated with the long-term care insurance policy, and the discount may then be applied to the long-term care insurance policy.

  • Patent number: 9047762
Abstract: The display system includes a display having a touchscreen input device. A processing system is operatively associated with the display. The display operates in a number of fixed modes. Each fixed mode has a single fixed format, each single fixed format having at least one fixed region, wherein the at least one fixed region has configurable overlay options. In an aircraft application the plurality of fixed modes are selected from the group of flight modes consisting of navigation, air-to-air (A-A), emergency, air-to-ground (A-G), preflight checklist and system status. In a preferred embodiment the emergency mode includes functionality to conserve power.
