Abstract: Methods and systems for depositing a check using a mobile device are disclosed. Methods may include, for example, receiving, from a mobile device, a deposit request and check image, performing an image quality analysis and a check decision authorization process using the request, determining whether the deposit would exceed one or more limits, and if not, determining a type of processing for the deposit. If a warranty processing system is used, the method may include creating and sending an image file associated with the check to a bank associated with the check decision provider, and sending an approval response to a bank associated with the account issuer; and if self-risk processing is used, the method may include creating and sending an image file associated with the check to a bank associated with the account issuer.
