  • Publication number: 20190174738
Abstract: A framework for validating resistance traits in seed varieties in planted crops and monitoring crop treatments applied in planted fields ensures that an herbicide is not used on a non herbicide-resistant crop. A user provides a recommendation for a selected herbicide, and the framework performs seed trait analytics by gathering seed variety information in planting data and seed resistance traits in the planted seed variety, as well as active ingredients and any specific amounts thereof in the selected herbicide. If the seed variety is resistant to the proposed herbicide, the verification framework outputs a recommendation to proceed with the application. If the seed variety is not resistant to the proposed herbicide, then the verification framework outputs a warning to the user of a risk with proceeding with the application.

  • Patent number: 10275731
Abstract: A multi-year yield analysis in precision agriculture characterizes variables affecting crop yield to enable site-specific prescription mapping for a bounded field. Remotely-sensed imagery of the bounded field is incorporated as a replacement for, or in addition to, one or more of coverage data, uniformity data, age data, and weather data that comprise variables in the multi-year yield analysis. The multi-year yield analysis enables recommendations for variable-rate applications to the bounded field such as seeding, fertilizing, and applying crop treatments.

  • Patent number: 9563848
Abstract: A multi-year yield analysis in precision agriculture characterizes variables affecting crop yield to enable site-specific prescription mapping for a bounded field for one or more crops in the field. The multi-year yield analysis enables recommendations for variable-rate applications to the bounded field such as seeding, fertilizing, tilling, and applying crop treatments. The multi-year yield analysis evaluates each of coverage data, uniformity data, age data, and weather data related to crop yield in the bounded field.

  • Patent number: 8924152
Abstract: A system is provided for monitoring system and operational parameters on one or more pieces of machinery or equipment. The system can monitor the pieces of machinery or equipment in real time, i.e., the time delay between the taking of a measurement on a piece of equipment and its subsequent display in the system is within accepted standards, e.g., from about 1 second to about 1 minute depending on the type of measurement or data set being monitored. The system can also permit the tracking of the pieces of machinery or equipment and can enable the transfer, i.e., the sending and/or receiving, of information between the system and the pieces of machinery or equipment.

  • Patent number: 8897973
Abstract: A system and method for managing the collection and processing of agricultural field data from a single location is provided. The system includes functionality to create workorders for the taking of samples at a predetermined location, transmit the sampling workorders to the equipment or operators at a job site, e.g., an agricultural field, and log the results of a completed sampling workorder. The system also includes functionality to transmit log data related to the taken samples to a laboratory and receive analysis information on the taken samples from the laboratory. The system then combines log data and analysis information on the taken samples for use in determining additional actions at the predetermined location.

  • Patent number: 8489291
Abstract: A system and method for collecting soil samples is provided that permits a user to develop or generate one or more paths in an agricultural field to collect soil samples with each soil core collection point along the path being identified. The agricultural field can be divided into management zones having similar productivity and each management zone can have a path with the identified collection points to collect samples for that management zone.
