Abstract: An electronic gaming machine for an event metered interactive wagering process is disclosed. The electronic gaming machine includes an interactive controller constructed to generate an interactive user interface including interactive elements, detect player interactions of a player with the interactive elements of the interactive user interface, determine an interactive intermediate state based on the player interactions in a form of a wager initiation event, and determine if a previous win display has completed. In a case that the previous win display has completed, communicate the interactive intermediate state to a process controller, and in a case that the previous win display has not completed, continue providing the interactive application to the player. The process controller is constructed to receive the interactive intermediate state from the interactive controller and generate a chance-based outcome of an award of credits to be awarded to the player using the random number generator.
