  • Publication number: 20170158130
Abstract: A system to detect or determine vehicle lamp performance and a method using the system is described. The system includes a first optical sensor having a field of view which includes the location of a vehicle lamp or into which light from a vehicle lamp is emitted, the optical sensor providing an output indicative of vehicle lamp performance; and a controller in communication with the first optical sensor to receive the output, the controller including at least one processor adapted to analyze the optical sensor output and provide a control output at least when the optical sensor output is indicative that the vehicle lamp performance is below a threshold.

  • Patent number: 8712651
Abstract: A method of operating a multi-mode drive system that precisely orchestrates a shift between gear ratios in a power take off unit and a rear drive module. The method first shifts between gear ratios in the power take off unit and then, depending upon the success or failure of the shift of the power take off unit, shifts between gear ratios in the rear drive module.
