  • Publication number: 20240408480
Abstract: A computerized method for operating a plurality of computerized flash pads is disclosed. The flash pads are communicatively and physically coupled together in an array. The flash pads are connected to a computer that operates software for game play on the flash pads. The computer identifies the flash pads that are connected together and designates one or more of the flash pads as “node” flash pads. The node flash pads transmit instructions and queries from the computer to the other flash pads.

  • Publication number: 20180353845
Abstract: A computerized method for operation of laser tag melee weapons is disclosed. The laser tag melee weapons contain infrared emitters, infrared receivers, microprocessors, accelerometers, and gyroscopes. The operation of the infrared emitter is based upon a pattern of signals received by the microprocessor from the accelerometer and gyroscope. The method is also directed toward altering game play information (such as user health, weapon status, power ups, or other game information) based on a pattern of signals received by the microprocessor from the accelerometer and gyroscope. When a user makes a specific movement pattern of the laser tag melee weapon, the microprocessors recognize the specific movement based on patterns of signals received. The microprocessors also compare signals received from the accelerometer and gyroscope to hit signals received from infrared receivers to determine if a user should be “hit” in the game.

  • Patent number: 9968842
Abstract: A gaming device for use in a laser tag game comprising a bow shaped body, a string coupled to a pair of arms, and an infrared emitter coupled to the bow shaped body. The infrared emitter is configured to generate an infrared beam when the string is pulled away from the bow shaped body and returned to its original static position. The device may further comprise omnidirectional infrared receivers, flex sensors, lights, speakers, or vibration motors. In other embodiments the gaming device may further comprise a battery, a charging, one or more trigger buttons, one or more control buttons, a display screen, microprocessors, and a wireless transceiver. In other embodiments the infrared emitter comprises a lens and an infrared LED. In other embodiments the gaming device may further comprise a quiver device configured to permit a user to reload shots during the game.
