    Abstract: A jig for holding an accessory having at least two sets of thread holes while being stitched on a sewing machine includes an attachment plate attachable to the sewing machine in predetermined relationship with respect to the needle of the sewing machine and includes a sliding bar held in slidable relationship with the attachment plate. Also included is a first location-determining device to secure the sliding bar in at least two predetermined positions, a holding device attached to, and extending from, the sliding bar to a location below the needle of the sewing machine, permitting the alignment of at least two sets of thread holes on the accessory with the needle of the sewing machine when the sliding bar is moved to a desired location, and an alignment system having a guide template affixed to the holding device. An indicator arm is affixed to the attachment plate which is aligned with a desired location on the guide template in order to indicate alignment of the needle of the sewing machine.
