  • Patent number: 7842856
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods, recombinant DNA molecules, recombinant host cells containing the DNA molecules, and transgenic and genetically engineered plant cells, plant tissue, seeds and plants which contain and express an herbicide resistant protoporphyrinogen oxidase such that they germinate from seed and grow in the presence of an amount of herbicide where the parent plant does not. Such plants are especially appropriate for use in agriculture or horticulture where herbicides are used to kill undesirable plants which might contaminate or compete with the transgenic plant of interest.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 29, 2008
Date of Patent: November 30, 2010
Assignee: The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois
Inventors: Patrick Tranel, Aaron Hager, William Patzoldt

  • Patent number: 6919728
Abstract: A method and apparatus for calibrating an oscilloscope and storing the calibration results for further use. Accordingly, an oscilloscope is provided with a calibration cache database for storing various calibration curves and their associated states. Each time the oscilloscope is calibrated, the resulting calibration curves are stored in the cache. When the oscilloscope returns to a previously calibrated state, the corresponding calibration curves are simply loaded from the cache to recalibrate the oscilloscope. After some period of use, many or most states for the oscilloscope will have entries in the database, and revisiting these states will no longer require recalculating the calibration curves.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 24, 2003
Date of Patent: July 19, 2005
    Assignee: LeCroy Corporation
