  • Publication number: 20160311485
Abstract: A bicycle seat support comprising a lower engagement member, an upper engagement member, and a compliant support assembly coupling the upper engagement member to the lower engagement member. In one embodiment, the bicycle seat support further comprises an angular adjustment mechanism coupled to the upper engagement member and configured to adjust an angle of the upper engagement member relative to the lower engagement member. For example, the angular adjustment mechanism can comprise a lower link coupled (e.g., cantilevered) to the lower engagement member and an intermediate link coupled (e.g., pivotally) between the lower link and the upper engagement member. In one embodiment, the seat support further comprises a bottom out beam cantilevered to the lower engagement member. The bottom out beam is positioned to inhibit downward movement of the upper engagement member after the upper engagement member has deflected downward.

  • Publication number: 20140157949
Abstract: A bicycle crankset including a first crank and a second crank, and a spider that secures at least one chain ring to the crankset Each of the first crank and the second crank has an end adapted to engage a pedal. The crankset also includes a spindle extending between and engaged with the first crank and the second crank. The spindle includes a radially extending arm and a protrusion disposed on the arm, and the arm co-molded with the spider to transmit torque to the spider.

  • Patent number: 8661935
Abstract: A bicycle including a frame that has a head tube. The bicycle also includes a fork that is rotationally coupled to the head tube and that has a steerer tube extending upward through the head tube, a wheel rotationally coupled to the fork, a handlebar, and a stem assembly. The stem assembly is coupled to and extends from the steerer tube to attach the handlebar to the fork. The stem assembly includes a stem, a shim that is coupled to the stem, and a clamp contacting both the shim and the handlebar to secure the handlebar to the stem assembly.

  • Patent number: 8505793
Abstract: A bicycle carrier, including a rack and a fork mount. The rack includes cross bars for mounting on a vehicle. The fork mount includes a head portion adapted to selectively clamp the fork mount to one of the cross bars, and a skewer assembly adapted to selectively secure forks of a bicycle to the head portion. The skewer assembly includes a skewer bolt, an actuator handle that is moveable between a first position and a second position, and an adjustment member threaded onto an end of the skewer bolt that permits longitudinal adjustment of the skewer assembly to accommodate different fork dimensions. The adjustment member is accessible when the actuator handle is in the first position, but is covered by the actuator handle when the actuator handle is in the second position.
