  • Patent number: 9697978
Abstract: A multi-frequency klystron has an electron gun which generates a beam, a circuit of bunch-align-collect (BAC) tuned cavities that bunch the beam and amplify an RF signal, a collector where the beam is collected and dumped, and a standard output cavity and waveguide coupled to a window to output RF power at a fundamental mode to an external load. In addition, the klystron has additional bunch-align-collect (BAC) cavities tuned to a higher harmonic frequency, and a harmonic output cavity and waveguide coupled via a window to an additional external load.

  • Publication number: 20100250903
Abstract: A software application adaptation layer is comprised of a program file comprising a plurality of adaptation filters and a configuration file. The configuration file may designate one or more adaptation filters of the plurality of adaptation filters to be applied by the program file for modifying one or more behaviors of an active software application. A data processing apparatus including such a software application adaptation layer includes processing circuitry configured to execute instructions for the active software application, a communications module coupled to the processing circuitry and at least one storage medium for storing the program file and the configuration file. Operational methods for such an apparatus includes storing the program file and the configuration file in the at least one storage medium, identifying the active software application, generating an adaptation filter set and attaching the adaptation filter set to an input queue associated with the active software application.

  • Patent number: 7712844
Abstract: A master cylinder assembly includes a housing and a cover coupled to the housing, defining a reservoir adapted to contain fluid at a level. The cover includes an aperture. A sight glass is received within the aperture and adapted to indicate the fluid level. The sight glass has a top portion, bottom portion, and middle portion between the top and bottom portions. The top and bottom portions each have a perimeter sized to be received within the aperture and to seal the reservoir. The middle portion has a reduced perimeter. The sight glass is movable between a raised position where the bottom portion is received within the aperture, sealing the reservoir and a lowered position where the top portion is received within the aperture, sealing the reservoir. The middle portion allows fluid flow through the aperture when the sight glass is moved from the raised position to the lowered position.

  • Patent number: 7387347
Abstract: A method of filling a brake system for a motorcycle including a brake system having a master cylinder assembly and a caliper assembly. The master cylinder assembly includes a housing and a cover coupled to the housing to define an enclosed reservoir. The caliper assembly includes a fluid passageway and a fitting adjustable to selectively provide fluid communication with the fluid passageway. The motorcycle also includes a brake line coupled between the master cylinder assembly and the caliper assembly to fluidly connect the reservoir and the fluid passageway. The method also includes substantially evacuating the reservoir, brake line and fluid passageway, coupling a fluid source to the fitting, passing fluid from the fluid source through the fitting, and filling the reservoir, brake line, and fluid passageway with the fluid passed through the fitting from the fluid reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20080014569
Abstract: The present invention provides a learning system wherein students are provided with course content via the Internet and perform learning activities online. The students can be paired with teachers and other students as needed for learning. The system provides monitoring of students' activities with the learning material, and provides ranking of student abilities and needs, teacher abilities and weakness, and content effectiveness, and can match teachers and students based on student needs and teacher abilities to meet those needs. The system allows for dynamic updating of content, and provides suggested content based on effectiveness. Video conferencing with teachers can be scheduled.

  • Publication number: 20070073691
Abstract: A project management system is enabled to implement filtering, sorting, and field level security for data associated with managed projects. A filter for field selection is prepared by a project client application and forwarded to a project server. The server generates an access attribute table based the user permissions that may be set for each field within the managed projects. Upon retrieving the selected fields from project database, the project server builds a secured list of fields. A data set to be provided to the project client is prepared by removing the fields for which the user lacks the requisite access permission prior to sorting the data. The removed data may be used for user-transparent computations within the project server, but guarded from client applications.

  • Publication number: 20060136933
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for generating events for a server application executing in a first process on a server computer. The system includes a server event service on the server computer executing in a second process independent of the first process. The server event service has a plurality of event handlers each event handler associated with a specified server event. The server event service is capable of receiving a server event from the server application and identifying one or more event handlers associated with the server event. The server event service then passes information related to the server event to the identified event handlers. The event handlers, in response to receiving the information related to an associated server event, generates one or more output events for the server application. In the system, the server event is generated by the server application in response to a request received from a client application on a remote client computer.
