  • Publication number: 20240318858
Abstract: A control system for a building includes a controller configured to control a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system configured to condition a space within the building. An electronic device is configured to be in electronic communication with the controller and provides a first output to the controller that corresponds to a first state of the electronic device. The electronic device provides a second output to the controller that corresponds to a second state of the electronic device. In response to receiving one of the first output or the second output, the controller is configured to change a state of the HVAC system from a first state to a second state. In response to receiving the other of the first output or the second output, the controller is configured to change the state of the HVAC system from the second state to a third state.

  • Patent number: 11411796
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device (WCD) may train a bitwise autoencoder neural network to obtain a constellation mapping. The WCD may determine a bit position ordering for bit positions of modulated symbols associated with the constellation mapping based at least in part on error protection levels of bit positions associated with the constellation mapping. The WCD may perform bit interleaving for one or more coded bits of a communication, based at least in part on the bit position ordering of the constellation mapping, to obtain one or more interleaved bits. The WCD may generate one or more modulated symbols for the communication by mapping the one or more interleaved bits using the constellation mapping. The WCD may transmit, to a receiver device, the one or more modulated symbols for the communication. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Patent number: 10768589
Abstract: A building automation system may adjust operation of a building system based upon information regarding the relative location of one or more users of the building automation system. In some embodiments, a mobile device having location services for determining a location of the mobile device may provide this information. A mobile device may include a user interface, a memory for storing two or more predetermined geo-fences each defining a different sized region about a home of a user of the mobile device and a controller operatively coupled to user interface and the memory, the controller configured to accept a selection of one of the two or more predetermined geo-fences via the user interface. The controller may report when the location of the mobile device crosses the selected one of the two or more predetermined geo-fences to a remote device. Other geofencing approaches are also described.
