    Abstract: A computerized method of creating and printing documents having one or more magnetic ink characters includes identifying and positioning data fields within a displayed representation of the document to be printed. Locations are identified within the data fields and elsewhere on the displayed representation of the document where magnetic ink characters are to be printed. The identified locations where magnetic ink characters are to be printed are compared with predetermined specifications for such locations. The identified locations on the representation of the document to be printed are adjusted to conform to the predetermined specifications.
