Publication number: 20240136018Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for component deconvolution by a mixture model based on methylation information. A mixture model may be trained agnostic of labels or known component contributions. A system generates a methylation signature for each of a plurality of training samples. The methylation signature may be based on a count or a percentage of a methylation variant(s) expressed in the methylation sequence reads of a training sample at each genomic region of a plurality of genomic regions. The system may train the mixture model using maximum likelihood estimation to deconvolve the component contributions. The mixture model may comprise component submodels and a deconvolution submodel. The component submodels predict a component likelihood based on the methylation signature. The deconvolution submodel predicts the component contributions based on the component likelihoods.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 17, 2023Publication date: April 25, 2024Inventors: Aaron Stern, Joerg Bredno, Joseph Marcus, Oliver Claude Venn, Collin Melton

Patent number: 11944768Abstract: A method of using a catheter assembly for inserting in a fluid filled space in a body includes providing a main body having a first end portion and a second end portion. The first end portion is positioned within the fluid filled space. The second end portion is adjusted to extend outwardly from the fluid filled space when the first end portion is positioned within the fluid filled space. A catheter tip is connected to the second end portion of the main body. The catheter tip includes a housing having a cavity defined therein and a rotating element positioned within the fluid filled space. The rotating element is rotated within the cavity of the housing to impart movement of the first end portion of the main body within the fluid filled space.Type: GrantFiled: August 17, 2020Date of Patent: April 2, 2024Assignee: Washington UniversityInventors: Eric Leuthardt, Guy Genin, Matthew Smyth, David Limbrick, Daniel Moran, Lihong Wang, Aaron McLaughlin, Manish Shah, Alexander Yang, Samuel Stone, Devon Haydon, Michael Winek, Richard Marcus

Patent number: 11265156Abstract: A client system may generate a new key pair for a secrets management process. The client may generate a shared secret using the private key of the new key pair and a public key of a secrets management server. Using the shared secret, the client may derive an encryption key and encrypt a data payload for subsequent decryption by the secrets management server. Upon encryption of the data payload, the client may erase the private key. Subsequently, the client or an associated client may call the secrets management server for decryption of the data payload. The secrets management server may derive the encryption key using the public key associated with the encrypted payload and the private key of the secrets management server and use the encryption key to decrypt the data payload for use by the client or an associated client.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 2020Date of Patent: March 1, 2022Assignee: salesforce.com, inc.Inventors: Prasad Peddada, Taher Elgamal, Aaron Marcus Johnson

Patent number: 10904221Abstract: A mechanism for flexibly securing data is discussed. A data entry device analyzes data from a user with respect to a security industry whitelist and an originator list and an analysis result controls a masking level of the data. The security industry whitelist references types of data that is not subject to industry-defined encryption standards. The originator list references data originators that produce data requiring non-standard handling. The data from the user is transmitted to and further examined for non-compliance with a pre-defined criteria at a computing device.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 2019Date of Patent: January 26, 2021Assignee: Walmart Apollo, LLCInventors: Ralph Grayson Hull, IV, Daniel David Manning, Jason Todd, Tim Webb, Aaron Marcus Johnson

Patent number: 9710785Abstract: A system and method for developing trust in an organization supported tracking system by ensuring that resources in a resource library are collected from trusted sources, and encouraging and tracking participation in organization supported activities designed to achieve a long term goal of the organization. Resources may be submitted by organization members and ranked according to multiple factors including the trustworthiness of the source, the relevance of the resource to the long term goal, or the response of the organization members to the resource. Participation may be encouraged through friendly competition, awards granted for participation, and publication of member accomplishments. Tracking may be facilitated by allowing members to create initiatives and actions related to the long term goal which members may follow and join and then tracking and verifying member participation in those initiatives and actions.Type: GrantFiled: October 14, 2011Date of Patent: July 18, 2017Assignee: SAP SEInventors: Garrett F.
