  • Patent number: 10090654
Abstract: A junction box assembly and a retaining system configured to facilitate access to the eyelet terminal and the bottom housing assembly is provided. The junction box assembly includes a top cover removably attached to the bottom housing assembly. The bottom housing assembly includes an eyelet terminal for receiving an electric connection. An eyelet terminal cover covers the eyelet terminal. The retaining system is configured to removably retain the eyelet terminal cover to the top cover. The retaining system includes a locking structure disposed on the top cover. A key is configured to releasably engage the locking structure. A tether may be secured to the key on a first end and the eyelet terminal cover on a second end so as to allow the eyelet terminal cover to be coupled to the top cover or the eyelet terminal cover to be removed from the top cover.

  • Publication number: 20180083375
Abstract: A power distribution box assembly with a plurality of separating walls to separate different power sources and from each other is provided. The power distribution box assembly includes a plurality of eyelet posts and busbars for powering a plurality of electric devices. First separating walls are configured to separate each eyelet post from each other. Each of the first separating walls is taller than the eyelet posts. A pair of second separating walls spaced apart from each other and open to a slit define a busbar housing. The busbar housing is configured to receive a portion of one of the busbars so as to separate the busbars from each other. Accordingly, the eyelet terminal housing is dimensioned so as to prevent a tool from contacting two eyelet posts or busbars at the same time.

  • Patent number: 9847630
Abstract: An attachment assembly joining a fuse box and battery tray includes a fuse box having a mounting structure having a fuse bottom surface including a retainer structure joined therewith. The retainer structure includes a cylindrical boss having an attachment wall disposed within the cylindrical boss. A cutout is formed in the cylindrical boss. A battery tray includes a tray bottom surface. The tray bottom surface includes a mating structure including a pair of spaced annular walls extending therefrom defining a gap. Each of the annular walls includes notches formed therein. A J-nut is positioned in the cut out of the cylindrical boss and over an edge of the attachment wall retaining the J-nut on the attachment wall. The cylindrical boss is disposed between the pair of spaced annular walls in the gap and the cutout is aligned with the notches. The J-nut is positioned in the cut out and the notches rotatively aligning the battery tray relative to the fuse box.
