    Abstract: A position control system for use with a mobile machine at a worksite is disclosed. The control system may have a location receiver configured to generate a location signal indicative of an actual location of a base station, a communication device configured to wirelessly communicate with the mobile machine, and a controller in communication with the location receiver and the communication device. The controller may be configured to store an assumed location of the base station in memory, make a comparison of the location signal with the assumed location, and selectively generate a control instruction for the mobile machine based on the comparison.

The position monitoring system also includes an inertial navigation unit including a sensor configured to measure a parameter of the mobile machine and generate a movement signal. The position monitoring system also includes a controller configured to receive the position signal and the movement signal, detect an unavailability of the position signal, calculate a position parameter, determine whether a difference between a first and a second value of a parameter exceeds a predetermined threshold, and generate a warning signal. The central control station is configured to communicate with the controller, receive the position signal and/or the movement signal, and monitor the position of the mobile machine.

    Abstract: A data acquisition system is disclosed. The data acquisition system includes one or more remote machines, and an off-board system in communication with the one or more remote machines. The off-board system is configured to display a calendar interface having a plurality of selectable entries each corresponding to a different period of time, receive a user's selection of one of the plurality of selectable entries corresponding to a desired period of time, receive a user's selection of one of the one or more remote machines, and receive a user's selection of one of a plurality of available operational parameters monitored by the selected one of the one or more remote machines. The off-board system is further configured to update a configuration of the selected one of the one or more remote machines based on the desired period of time and the selected one of a plurality of available operational parameters.
