  • Patent number: 8864813
Abstract: An intraluminal prosthesis for strengthening a lumen. The prosthesis may include a tubular graft (50) comprising a hollow flexible body (20). A self-expanding stent (19) may be coupled to the body (20) that provides enough outward radial force to expand the body. The prosthesis also includes a tubular stent (17). The tubular stent has a first diameter and a second expanded diameter. The tubular stent (17) is formable to the second diameter by application of an outwardly extending force from the interior of the tubular stent. The second diameter is at least equal to the interior diameter of the hollow flexible body (20).

  • Patent number: 8157812
Abstract: A delivery cannula for a site marker deployment device is disclosed. The delivery cannula includes a cannula having a tubular sidewall and at least one slot intersecting through the side wall. Each slot is sized to have a predetermined width so as to be configured to receive at least one filament of a site marker. When the site marker is inserted into the delivery cannula, at least a portion of the filament extends outwardly from the cannula and through the slot. A deployment system is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20100160777
Abstract: A site marker deployment device is disclosed. The site marker deployment device comprises an inner member and a deployment cannula. The inner member has a distal end. The deployment cannula has an open distal end. The deployment cannula is slidably disposed over the inner member and a site marker that is disposed within the deployment cannula adjacent the inner member at the distal end of the depolyment cannula. The inner member is configured to be held generally stationary relative to a target location as deployment cannula is selectively moved between a pre-deployment configuration wherein the deployment cannula is positioned over at least a portion of the site marker and a deployed configuration wherein the deployment cannula is retracted such that the site marker is released from the deployment cannula.

  • Publication number: 20100114031
Abstract: An introducer assembly is disclosed. The introducer assembly comprises an introducer cannula, an introducer hub and an introducer stylet body. The introducer cannula is defined by a distal end and a proximal end and has a lumen extending therebetween. The introducer hub is operatively connected to the introducer cannula, and wherein the introducer hub is configured for selective connection with multiple medical devices. The introducer stylet body is defined by a proximal end and a distal end and is removably disposed within the introducer cannula. The introducer stylet body may further comprise an imagable feature having a predetermined size disposed on a distal end thereof.

  • Publication number: 20090069819
Abstract: A cannula for a marker deployment system is provided, including a tubular sidewall and at least one slit intersecting through the sidewall. The slit selectively permits at least a portion of the sidewall adjacent the slit to deform generally radially outward from an axis of the cannula.

  • Publication number: 20080228164
Abstract: An embodiment includes a site marker deployment system that includes a deployment device having an inner cannula and a site marker that may be selectively interposed within the inner cannula. The site marker includes at least one generally elongated filament member. The filament member is selectively configurable between a first configuration, where the site marker can not be interposed within the inner cannula, and a second configuration, where the site marker may be interposed within the inner cannula. A portion of the site marker is elastically deformed when the site marker is interposed within the inner cannula. The site marker deployment system also includes a restraining member selectively interposed within the inner cannula and selectively engaging the site marker such that a force exerted on the restraining member may urge the site marker at least partially into the inner cannula.
