  • Patent number: 6994575
Abstract: A charger having an adjustable connector accommodates a plurality of electronic devices having different form factors. In one embodiment, the charger includes at least one pocket for receiving an electronic device, like a cellular telephone. Within the pocket, an electronic connector capable of supplying power to the electronic device is mounted atop an optionally detachable adjustable connector support member. The adjustable connector support module has cantilever arms that have protrusions disposed thereon. The cantilever arms are preloaded against adjustment tracks that include a series of ratchet grooves. By applying a lateral force against the adjustable connector support module, the connector may be moved laterally from a first position to a second position. Where the adjustable connector support module is detachable from the charger, the adjustable connector support module may be coupled to a connector base member by way of snap features that engage travel rails on the connector support member.

  • Patent number: 5869204
Abstract: A battery package (100) includes a latch (106) for easy attachment to a radio (402). Engagement of the battery package (100) to the radio is accomplished via matching a plurality of retaining rails (110) via notches (112) with a plurality of opposing and complementary retaining rails on the radio (402). A simple sliding motion locks the latch (106) to the radio (402). Disengagement requires little force as the latch (106) is depressed in the same direction as the battery package (100) is slid down. The battery comes to a stop when an alignment of the notches (112) with the radio retaining rails has taken place. An effortless lift separates the battery package (100) from the radio (402).

  • Patent number: 5868447
Abstract: A collection device is useful to scoop and bag refuse, such as pet excrement, from a surface. The device includes a handle that supports a working head that has an intake portion, a discharge portion and a guide portion therebetween. The working head has bag holders to secure a bag, such as a plastic grocery bag, with a mouth engaging the discharge portion so that refuse may be introduced into the intake at an upstream end and dumped into the bag at the downstream end. The intake portion has forwardly extending tines. The bag holder is shown as radial posts and/or a ring clamp. The handle may be either a short hand grip or preferably an elongate rod that permits use of the collection device while the user is standing. The working head is preferably cylindrical, but it may be flattened if desired.

  • Patent number: 5626980
Abstract: A contact block (10) is provided with a first ledge (34) and a second ledge (38) that deflectably engage a first edge (46) and a second edge (48) of an opening (44) in the housing (42) of an electrical device. The contact block (10) mechanically supports at least one electrical contact (14) to provide a contact surface (18) whereby the first electrical device (40) may be electrically interconnected with a second electrical device (60). The contact block (10) is snapped into place during assembly until it is secured during a final assembly operation.
