  • Publication number: 20260139907
Abstract: A drift elimination system for evaporative heat rejection equipment. The drift elimination system includes a first and second set of electrodes positioned apart from one-another in the air flow downstream of the fill and spray system. The first set of electrodes, optionally in the form of needles or thin plates are energized with a positive or negative charge. The second set of electrodes, optionally in the form of wavy plates or a wire mesh are energized with the opposite charge. Water droplets passing over or through the first set of electrodes accept a charge from the first set of electrodes and are attracted to the second set of electrodes where they are collected, removing the charged droplets from the airflow, reducing water loss and abating plume formation.

  • Publication number: 20250281937
Abstract: A water spray nozzle for evaporative cooling equipment having a D-shaped bore with an internal diameter across the widest portion of the flat portion of the D-shape of 2 inches or greater, capable of casting water about a radius of 170 degrees or greater six feet or greater at 1 psi of pressure. A single body two bore device provides 360 degrees of water spray of 6 feet or more at 1 psi. A flat or planar portion at the top of the flat portion of the D-shaped bore improves nozzle performance.

  • Patent number: 11719494
Abstract: A new heat exchange tube fin design in which a plurality of arrowhead shapes are pressed into or embossed onto each fin, the arrowhead shape defined by two intersecting wedge sections. The pressed arrowhead shapes are grouped into nested pairs, and one of the arrowheads in a pair is pressed as a positive relative to the fin plane and the other of the pair is pressed as a negative relative to the fin plane. The arrowhead pairs are placed in rows parallel to the air flow direction and arrowhead pairs in one row are preferably staggered relative to the arrowhead pairs in the adjacent row along the fin in the air flow direction.
