  • Patent number: 9815403
Abstract: An LED driver chip for a car reading light and a state control method thereof are provided. The LED driver chip includes a state machine control circuit module, a state machine output logic module, a current on/off control logic circuit module, and a current source module. An OUT pin of the LED driver chip is connected with an LED. The LED driver chip determines the next state of LED current according to a driver chip PWM input signal, an EN pin low lever pulse input signal, and a present LED state, enabling the LED to switch among nine different states.

  • Patent number: 8847514
Abstract: A programmable luminaire has arrays of LED's producing different wavelengths of light. A light map specifies how wavelengths of light reaching a plant or other organism are changed throughout a virtual day and over different growth phases of a plant's life. A host interface has a GUI light-map editor allowing a user to edit individual wavelengths in a light map that can be uploaded and shared with other users on a crowdsourcing web site. A large on-line community optimizes the light maps for a specific species of plants or animals. The wisdom of crowds converges until the best wavelengths, intensity and duration are arrived at through ranking, resulting in maximum desired output. Light maps are voted on by users and ranked based on votes, links to other light maps, and yield results. The LED's may be dimmed at intervals during the day for shading and sun fleck.

  • Patent number: 7243168
Abstract: A computer subsystem of a computer includes a CPU, RAM, display, storage device, input device(s), and a digital-audio generating IC. A CD-ROM subsystem of the computer includes a CD-ROM drive and CD-ROM control buttons for controlling CD-ROM drivers operation while playing audio CDs. An audio-interface IC of the CD-ROM subsystem couples a bus of the computer subsystem to the CD-ROM drive, and to the control buttons. The audio-interface IC, in one operating mode, relays commands and data between the bus and the CD-ROM drive. A second operating mode permits turning the computer subsystem off while the audio-interface IC autonomously responds to the control buttons and transmits commands to the CD-ROM drive for playing an audio CD.

  • Publication number: 20050081071
Abstract: A pre-boot security controller in an electronic device is energized even though a power subsystem does not energize operation of a digital computer in the device. The security controller stores supervisor and user passwords in a non-volatile password memory for comparison with a password entered using a security keypad. While the security controller is in a security operating mode, an output signal from the securing controller indicates the existence of that operating mode. Upon entry of a matching password, the security controller enables the power subsystem to energize operation of the digital computer, disables the output signal that indicates the existence of the security operating mode, and the security controller transitions from the security to an application operating mode. In the application operating mode, the pre-boot security controller preserves data about pressings of the security keypad.

  • Publication number: 20050024798
Abstract: A protection circuit for generating current to activate a Trip Solenoid of a circuit breaker in response to a detected fault includes, an electrical connection from the circuit to a terminal of Solenoid; an electrical connection from the circuit to a Neutral wire; an electrical connection from the circuit to an Earth Ground wire; at least one voltage detection mechanism for detecting a fault condition; and at least one Transistor electrically accessible from at least one voltage detection mechanism for generating current to activate the Trip Solenoid. In operation of the circuit one of at least one voltage detection mechanism detects a voltage anomaly between Neutral and Earth Ground and activates one of at least one Transistor to generate a source-to-ground current, the generated current traveling through the Trip Solenoid and the protection circuit to Earth Ground, the generated current sufficient to activate the Trip Solenoid thereby opening the circuit breaker.
