Abstract: A method of providing a three dimensional (3D) perspective view of web content includes: receiving a selection of a web address; determining an avatar position; identifying a set of load zones based on the web address and the avatar position; retrieving a set of structure definitions associated with the load zones; and rendering the 3D perspective view based on the avatar position and the structure definitions. A method that generates 3D rendered view of two-dimensional (2D) web content includes: receiving a selection of a website; retrieving 2D content from the website; generating a set of 3D elements based at least partly on the retrieved content by: identifying a set of 2D elements in the retrieved content; mapping each 2D element to an associated 3D element; and adding each associated 3D element to the set of 3D elements; and rendering a view of the set of 3D elements to a display.

Abstract: A three dimensional (3D) client application for web browsing is described. The 3D client is able to interpret 3D structure definitions and display 3D environments associated with various sets of websites. Each 3D environment is defined using a set of connecting grids. Each connecting grid defines spatial relationships among sets of websites associated with zones of the connecting grid. Each zone includes a set of 3D structures and is associated with a set of surrounding zones. As a user moves throughout the 3D environment, additional zones may be included in the 3D environment while some zones may be removed such that the user experiences a continuous expansive environment. A user is able to interact with multiple sets of websites included within the set of surrounding zones.
