  • Patent number: 9250983
Abstract: A system and method are provided for operating a first electronic device for sharing items with a second electronic device. The method comprises determining that the second electronic device requires a software capability to process a first item to be shared by the first electronic device; providing information to the second device for obtaining the software capability; and sending the first item to the second device after the software capability has been acquired by the second electronic device.

  • Patent number: 8788181
Abstract: An apparatus and method are disclosed for detecting a combustible fuel leakage into the cabin of a bi-fuel or dual-fuel vehicle. The apparatus comprises a box affixed inside the cabin of a bi-fuel vehicle which alerts a driver to the presence of a combustible fuel inside the cabin using an audible alarm and flashing lights, and which then either disables the vehicle or switches the fuel powering the vehicle's engine to gasoline. Certain embodiments of the present invention include substitute means of generating and transmitting alerts to drivers, as well as of manipulating vehicle function.

  • Publication number: 20120239279
Abstract: An apparatus, system and method are disclosed for forcing the fuel control module of a converted bi-fuel vehicle to reference a substitute fuel control map. The apparatus comprises a box affixed inside the cabin of a bi-fuel vehicle to the OBD port which sends false signals to the fuel control module indicating that the bi-fuel vehicle is running on a gasoline, ethanol, or a fuel other than the fuel powering the internal combustion engine. In some embodiments, the box in communication with the fuel control module feeds false sensor readings to the fuel control module to optimize fuel control in the vehicle engine. In other embodiments, the box overrides OEM sensor relay information, or forces the fuel control module to reference aftermarket sensors installed in place of, or in addition to, the OEM sensors.

  • Publication number: 20110010075
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system to measure, record, and control exhaust products from an internal combustion engine (ICE) are disclosed. Measurements of the exhaust products of an ICE are recorded and made available. The measurements provide the inputs for one of a variety of different algorithms to determine the proper flow rates for a first and a for second fuel being feed to an ICE to achieve one or more goals relating to at least one of the measured exhaust products. These flow rates are then enforced to control the exhaust products.
