  • Patent number: 11214448
Abstract: A conveyor system may include a conveyor belt and a conveyor support structure supporting the belt which includes a support truss structure extending between ends of the conveyor support structure. The system may also include a pair of wheels and an axle assembly configured to rotatably support the wheels on the support truss structure. The axle assembly may include an elongated axle housing with opposite ends each having a said wheel of the pair of wheels rotatably mounted thereon, the axle housing having an interior, and a hub rotatably mounted on each of the ends of the axle housing with each hub having one of the wheels mounted thereon. The system may include a rotation detection assembly for detecting rotation of at least one wheel and being integrated with the axle assembly and at least partially positioned within the interior of the axle housing.

  • Patent number: 10513396
Abstract: An extendable conveyor system with stationary and movable conveyor sections and a telescoping conveyor drive apparatus, and including a movement assembly configured to move the movable conveyor section with respect to the stationary conveyor section. The movement assembly may include teeth on one conveyor section and a teeth engaging apparatus on another conveyor section to move the movable conveyor section with respect to the stationary conveyor section. The teeth engaging apparatus may include a pin gear mounted on the second conveyor section and which has a plurality of pins positioned at radially spaced locations. A drive system may rotate the pin gear to thereby move the plurality of teeth and the first conveyor section in the longitudinal direction.

  • Patent number: 8292776
Abstract: A drive system with drive and freewheel modes comprises a final transfer element for receiving and rotating with a drive axle, and a final drive assembly in rotational communication with a motor. The final drive assembly is selectively engageable with the final transfer element to drive an axle received by the final transfer element. The final drive assembly has an engaged condition in which power is transferred through the final drive assembly to the drive axle and a disengaged condition in which power is not transferred through the final drive assembly. The final drive assembly comprises a gear set selectively engagable with the final transfer element in the engaged condition such that rotation of the gear set is transferred to the final transfer element. The gear set is selectively disengageable from the final transfer element in the disengaged condition such that rotation of the final transfer element is not transferred to the gear set.
