Patent number: 11357224Abstract: An agricultural product application implement includes a system and method for indicating an amount of fluid stored. A pressure transducer installed at the sump of a fluid tank electronically measures and displays a fluid depth. Instrumentation, such as an instrument cluster unit for the implement, is programmed via software to convert the voltage output of the pressure transducer to a volume measurement displayed in the operator's line of sight. Software within the instrument cluster unit for self-calibrating accounts for varying densities of different chemical solutions. The pressure transducer is used in conjunction with a transfer medium to prevent corrosive chemical solutions from contacting the pressure transducer.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2019Date of Patent: June 14, 2022Assignee: CNH Industrial America LLCInventors: Aaron Tollefsrud, Bruce Bastin

Patent number: 10801617Abstract: A propel system of an agricultural vehicle has an active pump displacement control system for equalizing or balancing pressure output of hydrostatic pumps of a tandem pump propel arrangement. The active pump displacement control system may include a pressure sensor(s) for determining output pressure of hydrostatic pumps and use the output pressure values within a feedback loop to provide coil input values of coils that control displacement of the hydrostatic pumps so that the pressure outputted by the hydrostatic pumps can be equalized in real-time while on the go during use of the agricultural vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 2018Date of Patent: October 13, 2020Assignee: CNH Industrial America LLCInventors: Aaron Tollefsrud, Daniel Connolly, James Keppers, Peter Meyer

Patent number: 10570797Abstract: An exhaust after-treatment system has a DEF system with improved DEF purge cycling during which time DEF is returned to a DEF storage tank. The DEF system adapts its methodology based on a condition within the DEF system. A purge valve may be arranged in a doser feed line between a DEF supply module and a DEF doser module. A purging control system may be configured to control the purge valve based on detected states within the DEF system, such as a detected state that corresponds to a plugged DEF doser module. If a plugged doser module is detected, the purge valve may be opened to vent the doser module feed line to atmosphere which allows the DEF to be returned to the DEF storage tank without creating a siphon effect that could draw additional DEF from the DEF storage tank into the supply module.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 2018Date of Patent: February 25, 2020Assignee: CNH Industrial America LLCInventors: Aaron Tollefsrud, Richard Kerner

Publication number: 20060175440Abstract: A boom assembly includes a frame, a boom, a boom stabilization cylinder, and a feedback cylinder. The boom is rotatably mounted to the frame to rotate about a first axis. The boom stabilization cylinder is coupled to the boom to resist rotational deflection of the boom about the first axis. The feedback cylinder is coupled to a counterbalancing weight. The feedback cylinder is hydraulically coupled to the boom stabilization cylinder. Movement of the boom stabilization cylinder to resist deflection of the boom causes corresponding movement of the feedback cylinder to lift the counterbalancing weight.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 22, 2004Publication date: August 10, 2006Inventors: Matthew Gunlogson, Aaron Tollefsrud
