  • Publication number: 20190310055
Abstract: A blast energy deflector to reduce load and energy transmitted to a vehicle from buried mines or improvised explosive device (IED) threats. The deflector may add stiffness to the hull thereby protecting or delaying deformation or damage to the vehicle underside. The deflector may be hollow, filled with plastic or other composites to dissipate blast energy, or solid, and may be detachably affixed to the vehicle underside.

  • Patent number: 8839418
Abstract: Described is a technology by which phishing-related data sources are processed into aggregated data and a given site evaluated the aggregated data using a predictive model to automatically determine whether the given site is likely to be a phishing site. The predictive model may be built using machine learning based on training data, e.g., including known phishing sites and/or known non-phishing sites. To determine whether an object corresponding to a site is likely a phishing-related object are described, various criteria are evaluated, including one or more features of the object when evaluated. The determination is output in some way, e.g., made available to a reputation service, used to block access to a site or warn a user before allowing access, and/or used to assist a hand grader in being more efficient in evaluating sites.

  • Publication number: 20050266778
Abstract: Planarizing machines, carrier heads for planarizing machines and methods for planarizing microelectronic-device substrate assemblies in mechanical or chemical-mechanical planarizing processes. In one embodiment of the invention, a carrier head includes a backing plate, a bladder attached to the backing plate, and a retaining ring extending around the backing plate. The backing plate has a perimeter edge, a first surface, and a second surface opposite the first surface. The second surface of the backing plate can have a perimeter region extending inwardly from the perimeter edge and an interior region extending inwardly from the perimeter region. The perimeter region, for example, can have a curved section extending inwardly from the perimeter edge of the backing plate or from a flat rim at the perimeter edge. The curved section can curve toward and/or away from the first surface to influence the edge pressure exerted against the substrate assembly during planarization.
