Abstract: A system for displaying high resolution images on a high resolution display system includes a network server, a first electronic device, and a high resolution display. The network server includes an image library database including multiple coded image files, and a display module for transmitting display information in response to a display request. Each image file is configured to be decoded into a video image data stream when a decoder executable file is executed by a processor, is created from one or more high resolution image files with a coder executable file, includes all of the image data included in each high resolution image file, and has a size smaller than the total size of all the one or more high resolution image files. The video image data stream includes all the image data of the one or more high resolution image files. The display module includes information on the coded image files included in the image library database; and a user interface for selecting and downloading coded image files.
