  • Patent number: 11393117
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for object detection are described. An example method for object detection is provided which may include capturing at least three polarization angles of a scene. The method may include translating polarization parameters associated with the at least three polarization angles to a reference angle to create a vector map and resolving the vector map into parallel components and perpendicular components, wherein the parallel components are parallel to a plane of incidence of light in the scene and the perpendicular components are perpendicular. The method may further include determining a range map based at least in part on the parallel and perpendicular components, detecting an object present in the scene using the range map and an airlight scattering polarization component, and outputting an indication of the object.

  • Patent number: 10596754
Abstract: A real time inspection and correction system and method for additive manufacturing process is described. The method may include operating a direct writing device configured to deposit material on a substrate through a tip to provide a portion of a product according to initial parameter values, receiving a hyperspectral image frame including a plurality of spectral images of the deposited material, processing the received hyperspectral image frame to determine a characteristic of the deposited material comparing the determined characteristic with a target characteristic determining at least one corrective parameter value to conform the determined characteristic to the target characteristic updating at least one of the initial parameter values with the corrective parameter values, and operating the direct writing device to deposit additional material on the substrate according to the corrective parameter value.

  • Patent number: 10326692
Abstract: A communication network is configured to operate a remote Loop-Free Alternate (LFA) procedure. Prior to detecting a link failure or switchover event associated with a protected link within a current path between a source node and a destination node of the communication network, a Point of Local Repair (PLR) node is configured for the protected link, and a repair tunnel endpoint node is configured for the PLR node. In response to detecting a link failure or switchover event associated with the protected link, a repair path is established between the source node and the destination node. The repair path is routed via the repair tunnel endpoint node, and the route of the repair path excludes the PLR node and the protected link.

  • Patent number: 10075367
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for establishing a repair path between a source node (101) and a destination node (105) in a communication network configured to operate a remote Loop-Free Alternate, LFA, procedure. The method comprises the steps of: prior to detecting a link failure or switchover event associated with a protected link, within a current path between the source node (101) and the destination node (105), performing the steps of: pre-configuring a Point of Local Repair, PLR, node (106) for the protected link (step 301); and pre-configuring a repair tunnel endpoint node (102) for the PLR node (step 303).
