  • Patent number: 10047655
Abstract: A sensor probe for an exhaust system including a sensor body, a sensor cup, and a fluid shield. The sensor body defines a conduit and having a plurality of apertures formed through a sidewall of the sensor body. The sensor cup is coupled to an end of the conduit of the sensor body and is in fluid communication with the conduit. The sensor cup includes an outlet formed therein. The fluid shield may be integrally coupled to the sensor cup and positioned relative to the outlet formed in the sensor cup such that the fluid shield deflects fluid away from the outlet.

  • Patent number: 9295946
Abstract: An aftertreatment subsystem includes first and second mounting interfaces, a fluid inlet and fluid outlet interface, and aftertreatment components, each having a central axis and axial extent. The central axes for the aftertreatment components are substantially parallel. End caps define fluid chambers that fluidly couple upstream aftertreatment component outlets with downstream aftertreatment components inlets. The end caps are positioned at a first or second end of the aftertreatment components. A first bracket joins the aftertreatment components at an axial position closer to the first end than to a center of the axial extent of any of the aftertreatment components and a second bracket joins the aftertreatment components at an axial position closer to the second end than to the center of the axial extent of any of the aftertreatment components. The first mounting interface is on the first bracket, and the second mounting interface is on the second bracket.

  • Patent number: 8066792
Abstract: According to one representative embodiment, an exhaust aftertreatment component that includes a housing that defines an interior cavity through which exhaust gas is flowable. The housing includes an inner body, an outer body, and a space defined between the inner and outer bodies. The component also includes an insulation pack that is positioned within the space. The insulation pack includes insulation media encapsulated by a flexible fabric. The insulation pack further includes an at least partially rigid member that has a rigidity greater than a rigidity of the insulation media and flexible fabric.
