  • Patent number: 10347382
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for tracking antimicrobial resistance based on geography. An application server receives a query from a client application to provide antimicrobial resistance data for a geographic location. The application server determines a geographic region based, at least in part, on the geographic location included in the query, and antimicrobial data for samples collected from patients residing in the geographic region are retrieved from at least one health information datastore of a health information system. The retrieved antimicrobial data comprises information describing antimicrobial resistance of an infectious organism detected in the biological samples to at least one antimicrobial agent, and is transmitted to a client device on which the client application that issued the query is executing.

  • Patent number: 8635317
Abstract: An approach is provided for providing uniform content management for a user equipment. A uniform content management platform determines new content from a plurality of content of different categories. The uniform content management platform further initiates presentation of the new content via a graphical user interface that includes: a dashboard providing a layout of the new content, a content manager that is invoked upon selection of a particular one of the new content for managing a group of content of a common category, and a content editor that is invoked upon selection of one of the content in the group for editing the selected content.

  • Patent number: 8335989
Abstract: An approach is provided for presenting polymorphic notes in a graphical user interface. A polymorphic note manager receives a request to display a plurality of polymorphic notes on a graphical user interface of a device. In response to the request, the polymorphic note manager determines an order of the plurality of polymorphic notes according to either an associated date or, if there is no associated date, a creation date corresponding to each of the plurality of polymorphic notes. The polymorphic note manager then causes, at least in part, actions that result in display of the plurality of polymorphic notes in the graphical user interface according to the determined order.

  • Publication number: 20110099189
Abstract: An approach is provided for exploring connections of a polymorphic note. A polymorphic note manager receives a request to display one or more polymorphic notes connected to a selected polymorphic note. In response to the request, the polymorphic note manager determining the one or more connected polymorphic notes and causes, at least in part, actions that result in display of the selected polymorphic note, the one or more connected polymorphic notes, corresponding connections between the selected polymorphic note and the one or more connection polymorphic notes, or a combination thereof.
