Abstract: The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a web of sheet product, with a discontinuous perforation arrangement such that manufacture of a web of sheet product provides for an increase in the breaking strength of the web of sheet product while feeding the web in a machine direction, thereby reducing the risk of breaking and maintaining the yield and throughput of the production of the perforated web as an intermediate product, yet providing a low breaking force for individual strips produced from the web.

Abstract: The present application provides a napkin dispenser for dispensing a number of folded napkins from a sheet material to an end user. Each of a pair of roll holder appliances disposed within the housing include a leg having a first end and a second end, and a first side and a second side. The first end has an attachment feature, and the second end has a first roll holder on the first side, and a second roll holder on the second side opposing and different from the first roll holder. The attachment feature of each appliance is removably attached to the back plate, each appliance being oriented with associated roll holders facing each other and suitably spaced apart so as to receive the rolled product therebetween.

Abstract: Dispensers and method for controlled dispensing of products, preferably paper products, are discussed in this patent disclosure. Various embodiments of the present invention can comprise a housing, a separating assembly, a feed mechanism, and an advancing mechanism. The housing can support inner components of the dispenser. The housing can hold a stack of paper product to be dispensed. The separating assembly can comprise a separating member. The separating member can separate one or more napkins from the stack. The separating member can be controlled by a controller for controlled dispensing operations. The feed mechanism can move the separated napkin or napkins toward a dispensing slot for dispensing. The advancing mechanism can advance the stack of napkins such that, as the stack is depleted from one end of the stack, a remainder of the stack is advanced toward the separating member for dispensing. Abstract: A method of dispensing product includes determining by a processor if product loaded into a dispenser is authorized for use in the dispenser by identifying a reference indication associated with the product; in response to determination that the product is authorized, dispense a first amount of product; and in response to determination that the sheet product is unauthorized, dispense a second amount of sheet product, wherein the second amount of sheet product is different than the first amount.
