    Abstract: A disc brake includes a brake caliper that engages over a brake disc and is designed as a sliding caliper. The disc brake has two brake pads which are located in the brake caliper, can be moved in opposite directions and each of which has a pad backing plate with a friction lining secured thereon. An action-side or application-side brake pad of the two brake pads can be pressed against the brake disc by a brake application device with the aid of at least one brake plunger. The brake also includes at least one restoring device, by which the brake caliper can be returned after a displacement and release of the brakes caused by a braking action. The restoring device has a spreading device which engages on the brake pads lying opposite one another and which acts with an identical force in opposition to the respective application direction. The spreading device has spring arms, of which in each case two lie against an associated pad carrier plate, where the spring arms are connected to one another in the central region of the opening. The spring arms are connected to a retaining bow which is attached to a brake carrier.

The adjusting device and the drive unit are inserted in each case into a threaded plunger of a spindle unit and are attached by way of a mounting arrangement on a bearing wall of the brake application section of the brake caliper. The synchronization unit is installed with the adjusting device and the drive device as a preassembled group into the brake application section of the brake caliper, wherein the synchronizer is arranged in the region of the mounting arrangements on the bearing wall within the brake application section. A method for installing a synchronization unit is provided.

The inner ring and outer ring together with multiple rolling bearing balls form an axial ball bearing. The inner ring is rotatably supported relative to the outer ring by the rolling bearing balls. The freewheel further has a cage in which multiple clamping rollers are biased with compression springs and compression pieces, the cage being arranged between the inner ring and the outer ring in a radial direction relative to a through-bore passing through the inner and outer rings.
