  • Patent number: 11042235
Abstract: An ATM device may include an external frame, a touch screen component coupled to the external frame, and a heating element. The heating element may be positioned such that heat generated by the heating element is directed at the touch screen component. The ATM device may include a temperature sensor configured to detect a temperature of an environment of the ATM device, and may receive temperature measurement data from the temperature sensor, process the temperature measurement data after receiving the temperature measurement data, determine whether the temperature measurement data indicates that a current temperature of the environment satisfies a threshold based on processing the temperature measurement data, and perform an action to control an operating state of the heating element based on determining whether the temperature measurement data indicates that the current temperature of the environment satisfies the threshold.

  • Publication number: 20210182830
Abstract: A device may receive historical transaction data associated with transactions conducted via transaction accounts associated with users, and may receive historical travel data indicating whether the users were traveling during times associated with the transactions. The device may train a machine learning model with the historical transaction data and the historical travel data to generate a trained machine learning model, and may receive transaction data associated with transactions conducted via a transaction account associated with a user. The device may process the transaction data, with the trained machine learning model, to determine a confidence score that provides an indication of whether the user is traveling, and may determine whether the confidence score satisfies a confidence threshold. The device may determine that the user is traveling when the confidence score satisfies the confidence threshold, and may perform one or more actions based on determining that the user is traveling.

  • Publication number: 20210185172
Abstract: A device receives, from a user device, a communication request that includes information identifying a user of the user device, an organization, and at least one reason for the communication request. The device determines, based on the communication request, information concerning the user, a telephone number associated with the organization, and a menu of an interactive voice response (IVR) system device associated with the telephone number. The device communicates, based on the information concerning the user, the menu of the IVR system device, and the at least one reason for the communication request, with the IVR system device via a communication session initiated based on the telephone number. The device determines, based on communicating with the IVR system device, a time that the user is to interact with the IVR system device via the communication session, and causes the user device to join the communication session at the time.

  • Patent number: 11030684
Abstract: A device assigns an identifier to a piggy bank associated with a child, and associates the identifier with a first transaction account associated with the child and a second transaction account associated with a parent of the child. The device receives information indicating a value of money deposited into the piggy bank, and updates the first transaction account, based on the information indicating the value of money, to generate an updated balance for the first transaction account. The device provides, to the piggy bank or a user device associated with the piggy bank, information indicating the updated balance for the first transaction account, and receives information indicating a measurement associated with the piggy bank. The device verifies the updated balance for the first transaction account based on the measurement associated with the piggy bank, and causes the updated balance for the first transaction account to be provided to the parent.

  • Publication number: 20210152693
Abstract: A device receives, from a user device, a communication associated with a support issue encountered by a user of the user device and assigns the communication to a position in a support queue based on when the communication is received, wherein the support queue includes data identifying positions of other communications received from other users, and data identifying when the other communications were received. The device processes data identifying the communication and historical communication data describing prior communications associated with the user, with a model, to determine an average time spent on hold by the user for the prior communications. The device modifies the position of the communication in the support queue based on the average time and performs one or more actions based on modifying the position of the communication in the support queue.

  • Patent number: 11011173
Abstract: A device obtains information concerning a plurality of customer service representatives to identify a customer service representative and a user device associated with the customer service representative. The device selects a test issue of a plurality of test issues to be presented to the customer service representative, and, based on the test issue, a virtual assistant to converse with the customer service representative. The device initiates, based on an availability of the user device, a communication session with the user device, and causes the virtual assistant to converse with the customer service representative regarding the test issue. The device obtains data concerning a performance of the customer service representative during the communication session, processes the data using a machine learning model to determine a performance score for the customer service representative, and causes, based on the performance score for the customer service representative, at least one action to be performed.

  • Patent number: 11005837
Abstract: A device attempts to access a resource that requires a multi-factor authentication (MFA), and receives, from an MFA server device, a challenge form. The device performs natural language processing on the challenge form to determine a first location of an input for a security code and a second location of a verify button. The device provides, to an email server device, a request to access emails associated with a user of the device, and receives access to multiple emails associated with the user. The device processes the multiple emails to identify an MFA email in the multiple emails, and identifies a security code in the MFA email. The device provides the security code at the first location, and selects the verify button at the second location. The device provides the security code to the MFA server device, and receives information indicating whether the device is authenticated.

  • Patent number: 11003755
Abstract: An application platform may receive an input from a user associated with a user account. The input may relate to a request for access to the user account, and include a selection of emojis or images. The application platform may identify text strings associated with the emojis or images, where each text string may correspond to a respective emoji or image. The application platform may perform an action to generate a combined text string based on the text strings, and process the combined text string to derive an output value after performing the action. The application platform may determine whether the output value corresponds to a particular value after processing the combined text string, and authenticate the user to permit the user to access the user account based on determining whether the output value corresponds to the particular value.

  • Patent number: 10992659
Abstract: A device may receive a request from a first user device to access a protected device. The device may verify a user identity of a user of the first device based on user credentials and determine that an authentication code is needed to authenticate the request to access the protected device. The device may dynamically generate multiple codes and transmit the multiple codes to a second user device associated with the user identity of the user of the first device. A first code, of the multiple codes, may correspond to a correct authentication code needed to authenticate the request to access the protected device. The device may transmit a message including an instruction for identifying the correct authentication code from among the multiple codes, receive a second code from the first device, compare the second code and the first code, and selectively authenticate the request to access the protected device.

  • Publication number: 20210116950
Abstract: A device receives position information from a sensor of the device, wherein the position information indicates a position of a user of the device and a position of a person proximate to the user. The device receives lighting information from the sensor, wherein the lighting information indicates lighting conditions around the device and the user. The device calculates a position adjustment for an infrared element of the device based on the position information and the lighting information, and calculates an intensity adjustment for the infrared element based on the position information and the lighting information. The device receives, via an input element of the device, input data provided by the user, and implements the position adjustment and the intensity adjustment to enable the infrared element, when illuminated, to reflect light away from the input element and to prevent image or video capture of the input data.

  • Publication number: 20210112055
Abstract: A server device receives, from a user device, a session initiation request and information identifying a location of the user device, and receives, from a monitoring device that is separate from the user device, an authentication request and information identifying a location of the monitoring device. The server device processes the session initiation request and the authentication request to authenticate a user of the user device, and determines, based on the location of the user device and the location of the monitoring device, that the user device and the monitoring device are collocated. The server device creates, after authenticating the user of the user device and determining that user device and the monitoring device are collocated, a session token, and sends the session token to the user device to enable the user device to access at least one resource of the server device.

  • Publication number: 20210090710
Abstract: A device receives, from a client device, behavior data indicating an action of a user of the client device, and processes the behavior data, with a model, to determine whether the action satisfies a behavior threshold. The device determines preventative actions to perform to prevent the action of the user, when the action is determined to satisfy the behavior threshold, and performs the preventative actions to prevent the action of the user. The device provides, to the client device, a request indicating that the user perform a physical activity before the one or more preventative actions are disabled, and monitors a performance of the physical activity by the user. The device determines whether the user satisfies the performance of the physical activity based on the monitoring, and disables the one or more preventative actions when it is determined that the user satisfies the performance of the physical activity.
