  • Publication number: 20230332495
Abstract: Computer vision system and method for detecting and characterizing heterogeneities from a representation of a borehole. A memory stores processor-executable modules executed by a computer vision processor. The modules include a preprocessing module to extract a plurality of borehole images from the representation of the borehole, a computer vision module to perform semantic segmentation for automated classification of pixels in the borehole images to identify the heterogeneities, and a characterization module to execute a fitting algorithm for extracting dimensional information of the identified heterogeneities.

  • Patent number: 11767756
Abstract: A method and system for determination of hydrocarbon accumulations in a subsurface geological area are disclosed. The method comprises creating a structural framework of the subsurface geological area, calculation of a mechanical stress, identifying trapping mechanisms, predicting of a relative fold movement, and estimating of the formation of the hydrocarbon accumulations, and determining the location of the hydrocarbon accumulations in the subsurface geological area.

  • Publication number: 20220291418
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of prediction of hydrocarbon accumulation in a geological region comprising the following steps of: a. Generation of a geological basin model; b. Generation of a geomechanical model; c. Generation of an integrated model; d. Generation of a strain map based on the information obtained in steps a to c; e. Prediction of hydrocarbon accumulation from the strain maps.

  • Publication number: 20220196862
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for determining a location of hydrocarbon reservoirs using a mechanical properties model of a subsurface geological area. The method comprises the steps of: creating a plurality of presumed seismic sections at the time of deposition based on a seismic interpretation of the subsurface geological area and influences of tectonic time data and tectonic pressure data; creating a mechanical properties model of the subsurface geological area based on the plurality of presumed seismic sections at the time of deposition and the influences of tectonic time data and tectonic pressure data.
