  • Publication number: 20190384496
Abstract: A data management and storage (DMS) cluster of peer DMS nodes manages data of a tenant of a multi-tenant compute infrastructure. The compute infrastructure includes an envoy connecting the DMS cluster to virtual machines of the tenant executing on the compute infrastructure. The envoy provides the DMS cluster with access to the virtual tenant network and the virtual machines of the tenant connected via the virtual tenant network for DMS services such as data fetch jobs to generate snapshots of the virtual machines. The envoy sends the snapshot from the virtual machine to a peer DMS node via the connection for storage within the DMS cluster. The envoy provides the DMS cluster with secure access to authorized tenants of the compute infrastructure while maintaining data isolation of tenants within the compute infrastructure.

  • Patent number: 10397065
Abstract: A method for real-time monitoring and characterization of network conditions experienced by a client device coupled to a WLAN via at least one access point is presented. One or more primary performance parameters of the WLAN for a given operating interval of the client device uplink to the access point are received. At least one derived performance parameter based on the one or more primary performance parameters is computed. Trends of the primary performance parameter and the derived performance parameter are analyzed to identify occurrence of at least one problem signature. A situational awareness state characterizing the network conditions based on the at least one problem signature is defined. The situational awareness state is further processed to identify the occurrence of at least one transient fault condition in the WLAN.

  • Publication number: 20190199811
Abstract: A computing system may automatically infer one or more events that occur during an application session involving activity on a network, such as the Internet. Such an application session may be interactions with, for example, social networking websites, banking websites, news websites, and so on. Events are any of a number of activities or transactions that may occur during the application session. The computing system may automatically infer an event by gathering network transaction data for network transactions performed by one or more client devices of a wireless communication network. The computing system may generate a network activity signature based, at least in part, on the network transaction data and apply pattern recognition and/or machine learning to the network activity signature to infer events associated with the network activity signature.
