  • Patent number: 9025192
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed method for dynamic mobile printing based on scheduled events. One method includes receiving, from a device associated with a user, an identifier associated with the user and a print request, the print request including one or more print items to be printed; accessing, by a server, a calendar of the user based on the received identifier associated with the user; determining, by the server, whether an event of the calendar is scheduled for a time of interest; locating, by the server, a printer near a location of the event when the event is scheduled for the time of interest; and transmitting, by the server, the one or more print items to the printer near the location of the event.

  • Patent number: 9020099
Abstract: The miniaturized pipe inspection system for measuring corrosion and scale in small pipes utilizes scattered radiation, which is measured by high efficiency solid scintillation gamma detector/spectrometer inserted inside the tube and separated from its bulky photomultiplier tube (PMT) and associated electronics by light pipe or fiber optic cable whose diameter can be very small. The light signal produced in the scintillation material is transmitted through the light pipe to outside the pipe to be inspected, where a PMT and electronic components including gamma ray energy analyzers are located. Gamma spectroscopy combined with gamma counting allows for multiple gamma ray primary and multiple backscattered radiation, thereby yielding high accuracy and high reliability of obtained corrosion, erosion and deposits data.

  • Patent number: 8976936
Abstract: The collimator for backscattered radiation imaging has a plurality of parallel, arrayed passages formed therethrough. The collimator is positioned in front of a radiographic imaging device, such as a radiographic plate, radiographic film or the like, such that the plurality of parallel, arrayed passages are positioned orthogonal to a plane of the radiographic imaging device. An object, such as a wall of an insulated pipe, for example, is then exposed to gamma or X-ray radiation, and image exposures are made on the radiographic imaging device of backscattered radiation from the wall of the insulated pipe or other object. The collimator is shifted in between each of the exposures. The collimator may have a parallelepiped body, or, alternatively, may have a cylindrical body. The parallelepiped collimator is shifted linearly in front of the radiographic imaging device, and the cylindrical collimator is rotated in front of the radiographic imaging device.

  • Publication number: 20140343980
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for enabling users to request information or services relating to a physical facility. One method includes receiving, from a device associated with a user, one or more of: a request to receive information about an asset or component of the facility, and a request to receive maintenance of an asset or component of the facility, wherein the request includes an identifier associated with the user and an identifier associated with the asset or component of the facility; accessing, based on the request, a database storing one or more user identifiers and one or more identifiers associated with a plurality of assets or components of the facility; and transmitting, to the device associated with the user, either a presentation of information about the asset or component of the facility, or a representation of a ticket for initiating maintenance of the asset or component of the facility.

  • Patent number: 8767912
Abstract: The system for the inspection and imaging of insulated pipes and vessels using backscattered gamma radiation and X-ray fluorescence includes a frame having a pair of coaxial rings adapted for coaxial mounting about the insulated pipe, vessel or the like. A pair of rotating supports are rotatably mounted within the pair rings for driven rotation thereof. A plurality of horizontal supports are secured to, and extend between, the pair of rotating supports such that each of the horizontal supports extends along a direction parallel to an axis of the insulated pipe. A plurality of inspection modules are slidably mounted to the horizontal supports. Each inspection module includes at least one radiation source, an X-ray fluorescence detector and a backscattered gamma radiation detector. The plurality of inspection modules are linearly translated along the axial direction of the pipe, and also circumferentially rotated therearound for simultaneous, three-dimensional inspection of the pipe body.

  • Publication number: 20120304585
Abstract: The Invention relates to Vision Panel Assembly for a twin sheet door/window and a method of installation. The vision panel assembly comprises of a frame, brackets, a vision panel and securing means for fastening the vision panel assembly. In one embodiment of the invention the vision panel is installed equidistant from either sheet of the twin sheet door/window. In a second embodiment the vision panel is installed to one side of the vision panel assembly to rest against the cutout in the Outside sheet of the twin sheet door/window. The method of installing the vision panel assembly comprises the steps of making cutouts of equal or unequal dimensions on both sheets of the door/window, fixing the frame members onto the inner surface of the sheets of the twin sheet door/window to form the frame and securing the vision panel into position in the frame with the help of brackets which are fastened into the frame using securing means.

  • Publication number: 20120105734
Abstract: A unitary multi-panel display device is described that includes a housing, a single inner operating component, and at least two displays installed in the housing for viewing to video or other images displayed thereon and listening to audio content played thereon. The display device can be a television, a computer monitor, a handheld computing device, a handheld gaming device, a handheld multimedia device, or any other suitable device that can be used to view video or to view and listen to multimedia content. The singular device allows the viewing of the same or different programs from opposite sides of the device, for example, viewing of the at least two displays from points of view facing anterior and posterior sides of a television embodiment of the device. The single inner operating component is capable of playing the same or different audio/video sources on the at least two displays.

  • Patent number: 5662342
Abstract: A wheeled trolley comprising a base chassis which includes a load support platform and a set of ground-contacting wheel elements which may be swivel castors, and an upright support structure fixed to and projecting upwardly from a rear portion of the base chassis, and surmounted by a push-handle assembly. In one aspect an upwardly open supplementary luggage receptacle is mounted on the rear side of the upright structure to permit the receptacle to be made substantially larger than hitherto without obstructing the main luggage-carrying capacity of the platform. In another aspect, the rear wheel elements are offset rearwardly relative to the back end of the platform to improve stability. In a third aspect the platform is forwardly inclined for ease of stacking and generally lowered for stability and convenience of loading by a rearwardly inclined interconnecting portion of the chassis between the rear end of the platform and the base end of the upright support structure.

  • Patent number: 5070081
Abstract: A combined process is described in which inclusion complexes are formed from guest molecules and cyclodextrins during agglomeration of the cyclodextrins. Sufficient agitation in the presence of a small amount of water results in complex formation and bonding into strong agglomerates. The agglomerates are strong and stable and useful inter alia in foods (the guest molecules are flavors), pharmaceuticals (the guest molecules are drugs) and agriculture (the guest molecules are various agrochemicals).

Abstract: A method of preparing a sulfur-containing composite fuel is provided to utilize some high-sulfur content solid and semi-solid fuels such as tar sand coke and refinery tank sludges by reducing their sulfur emission on combustion. The method comprises the steps of making an aqueous slurry including a finely divided carbonaceous material, a comminuted sulfur capture agent and an oily agglomeration aid obtained from the refinery or tailing sludges and coagglomerating these components and an optional conditioning agent. The resulting agglomerated composite fuel has a reduced content of inorganic impurities and is suitable for fluidized-bed combustion.
