  • Patent number: 11910751
Abstract: The robotic system for harvesting, and performing pre- and post-harvesting tasks of date palm trees includes three main parts: a truck platform, a scissor lift, and a multi-task system. The truck platform provides mobility for the whole system, while the scissor lift raises the multi-task system to the top of the palm tree. The multi-task system is fixed on top of the scissor lift and includes a large basin that catches fruits during harvesting. A circular track is fixed within the basin and includes a 2-degree-of-freedom (DOF) slider base mounted thereon. On top of the 2-DOF slider base is a robotic arm fitted with the proper tool (harvesting tool, maintenance tool or bagging system) for the task to be performed. The circular track has pivoting sections, and the basin has a flexible portion in the rear of the truck platform to allow the system to surround the palm tree.

  • Patent number: 11879536
Abstract: In one aspect, a rotary device is provided, and includes a shaft adapter, a chambered member, a seal member and at least one internal torque transfer member. The shaft adapter is connectible to a crankshaft or accessory shaft and defines an axis. The chambered member (e.g. a pulley) is rotatably connected to it, and at least partially encloses a chamber (e.g. for oil), and includes a circumferential portion, a first side wall, and a second side wall which is a separate member from the circumferential portion. One of the circumferential portion and the second side wall has projections thereon, and the other has valleys that mate with the projections with no clearance, so as to be able to transfer a torque of at least 10 Nm into one another without plastic deformation. A seal member is compressed between the second side wall and the circumferential portion.

  • Patent number: 11732774
Abstract: In an aspect a device for a driven shaft is provided that receives an input torque that varies cyclically between a peak input torque and a low input torque at a peak input torque frequency, which includes a shaft adapter, a rotary drive member, at least one isolation member, a torsional vibration damping structure including an inertia member and a elastomeric damping member, and a supplemental damping structure. The supplemental damping structure applies a supplemental damping torque to resist relative movement between the rotary drive member and the inertia member in addition to damping provided by the elastomeric damping member. A sum of torques including the supplemental damping torque limits a maximum twist between a first end of the driven shaft and a second end of the driven shaft, to below a yield point of the driven shaft.

  • Patent number: 11452708
Abstract: A family of ?-glucosidase inhibitors are identified. Exemplary ?-glucosidase inhibitors may be obtained from Heterophragma adenophyllum seem. The inhibitors are used to lower blood sugar levels and thus to treat diseases related to or characterized by high blood sugar, such as diabetes.

  • Patent number: 10485171
Abstract: The tree harvesting tool is a tool adapted for attachment to a conventional lifter or lifting device for performing harvesting and pre-harvesting operations on a fruit tree. The tree harvesting tool includes a cylindrical shell, having an upper end and a lower end, at least one portion of the cylindrical shell defining a door. The cylindrical shell is adapted for encircling the trunk of the tree. A plurality of panels are pivotally secured to the lower end of the cylindrical shell to define an openable floor having a central opening for receiving the trunk of the tree. A circular track is mounted on the upper end of the cylindrical shell, such that a movable platform may be mounted thereon. A robotic arm is mounted on the movable platform for selectively operating and manipulating a tool for performing tree harvesting and pre-harvesting operations.

  • Patent number: 5978813
Abstract: A database synchronization system for synchronizing a plurality of local databases in a plurality of distributed computing systems is disclosed. The plurality of distributed computing systems form a distributed computing environment (DCE). The synchronization system includes a system server, a registry database, coupled to the system server, a local area network (LAN) synchronization server, coupled to the system server, a LAN server synchronization library, coupled to the system server, and a LAN server, coupled to the LAN synchronization server and selected ones of the plurality distributed computing systems forming a LAN. Synchronization between the LAN and the DCE registry occurs when registry modifications in the registry database affecting at least one of the plurality of local LAN databases invokes the LAN server synchronization library to synchronize the affected database. The synchronization system utilizes a registry database coupled to each of the local databases.
