  • Publication number: 20230396532
Abstract: In one example, the present disclosure describes a device, computer-readable medium, and method for minimizing customer impact during network access migrations. For instance, in one example, a method includes detecting a change in an access network that affects a first network circuit connecting a customer premises to a first provider edge router and provisioning a second network circuit in response to the detecting, wherein the provisioning comprises taking an action to preserve a wide area network internet protocol address of the customer premises on the first network circuit in the second network circuit.

  • Publication number: 20230145797
Abstract: Facilitating multiple step network configuration activation automation based on parallel processing is provided herein. Operations of a system include based on a determination that a network activation is to be implemented on target equipment, parsing the network activation into a first group of initialization portion actions and a second group of active target actions. The operations also can include implementing, via first parallel processing, the first group of initialization portion actions on the target equipment. Further, the operations can include, based on a second determination of a completion of the implementing of the first group of initialization portion actions, implementing, via second parallel processing, the second group of active target actions on the target equipment during an implementation period. The target equipment are equipment of a virtual local area network.

  • Publication number: 20220417338
Abstract: For systems that can include, but are not limited to telecommunications, content distribution, and internetworking, the technologies described herein are generally directed to deploying network services, e.g., for large inventories of network equipment, complex deployments, and different processes being handled by isolated and difficult to modify legacy systems. For example, a method described herein can include receiving, by operations support equipment comprising a processor, a provisioning request for a network provisioning task. The method can further include, based on the network provisioning task, selecting, by the operations support equipment, a logical provisioning model to facilitate processing the provisioning request. Further, the network can include, based on the logical provisioning model, identifying, by the operations support equipment, an infrastructure engine to provision network equipment corresponding to the network provisioning task.

  • Patent number: 8804696
Abstract: An integrated gateway is disclosed. In one embodiment, a gateway includes a modem, a wide area network (WAN) interface, a local area network (LAN) interface, a router module, a voice-over-internet protocol (VOIP) adapter and a session-initiation protocol (SIP) adapter. The WAN interface is in communication with a packet network, such as a VOIP network. The router module is configured to route data traffic between the WAN interface and the LAN interface. In one embodiment, the VOIP adapter, as does the SIP adapter, includes a wireless interface for wireless communication with an endpoint device. The VOIP adapter is configured to provide VOIP services between the endpoint device and the packet network. The SIP adapter is configured to provide SIP services between the endpoint device and the packet network.
