  • Publication number: 20250093194
Abstract: Systems for measuring liquid levels in a tank can include a lever arm pivotably attached to an inner wall of the tank at a first end of the lever arm. A float is mounted on the lever arm at a location spaced apart from the first end of the lever arm. An inclinometer is mounted on a lever arm to measure an angle of the lever arm relative to horizontal. A processor is operable to calculate a height of a surface of the fluid in the container based on the angle of the lever arm relative to horizontal.

  • Publication number: 20250052298
Abstract: A chain link having an electromagnetic force generation system between two chain links which including an attachable electromagnetic unit installed on multiple links. The chain having have a power source in order to generate an electrical current. As the electrical current passes, it creates repulsive and/or attractive force between chain links in order for them to be aligned with each other, achieving a rigid status.

  • Patent number: 12196902
Abstract: An apparatus, a method, and a non-transitory computer readable medium for event detection of passive seismic data are disclosed. The apparatus includes processing circuitry extracts features from the passive seismic data based on a backbone subnetwork of a residual deep neural network. The processing circuitry generates bounding box proposals for a region of interest (ROI) in the passive seismic data based on the extracted features being input to a region proposal network of the residual deep neural network. The processing circuitry classifies the bounding box proposals into two groups. Each bounding box proposal in a first group indicates that a corresponding seismic signal presents in the ROI. Each bounding box proposal in a second group indicates that no seismic signal presents in the ROI. The processing circuitry determines at least one seismic signal in the ROI from the first group of bounding box proposals.

  • Publication number: 20160230660
Abstract: The gas turbine power generator with two-stage inlet air cooling is a gas turbine power plant for generating electrical power, where air fed into an inlet of a compressor thereof is cooled in a two-stage process. Initially, a heat exchanger receives ambient air and outputs cooled air. An evaporative cooler in fluid communication with the heat exchanger receives the cooled air at a first temperature and outputs cooled air at a second temperature lower than the first temperature. The cooled air at the second temperature is then delivered to a compressor, which is in fluid communication with a combustion chamber for combusting pressurized air with fuel. A gas turbine is in fluid communication with the combustion chamber for receiving heated combustion products therefrom to drive the gas turbine. An electrical generator is in communication with, and is driven by, the gas turbine for producing usable electrical power.

  • Patent number: 9393502
Abstract: The desalination system is a multi-stage flash desalination (MSF) system. Each stage has a P-shaped chamber having a flashing section extending vertically, a condensing section extending horizontally to overlay the flashing section of the next succeeding stage, and a demister (a device to separate liquid droplets entrained in vapor) separating the flashing section and the condensing section. One or more heat pipes extend between the condensing section of each stage and the flashing section of the next succeeding stage in order to transfer heat released by the condensing vapor in one section to the colder flashing section of the next succeeding chamber. The system includes a seawater-cooled condenser in the last stage to recover fresh water from the water vapor. The system may be modified by replacing or supplementing the condenser in the last stage with a thermal vapor compressor (TVC) to transfer vapor to the first stage.

  • Patent number: 9309129
Abstract: A multi-effects desalination system includes a housing having a heating box, a plurality of vessels, a plurality of heat rods within each of the vessels, and a condenser unit. Each vessel is separated by a separator wall. Each heat rod extends through one of the separator walls, such that each heat rod has a first end extending into one vessel and a second end extending into an adjacent vessel. The desalination system also includes a plurality of sprayers, a plurality of demisters, and a plurality of trays. Each sprayer is configured to discharge feed water FW onto the second end of each heat rod in a respective vessel and each tray being configured to collect condensate or fresh water. The condensate collected in one to tray can be transferred to the condensate collection tray in an adjacent vessel. Further, the desalination system can also include a thermocompressor unit.
