  • Patent number: 8795518
Abstract: A method and system for waste water treatment and disposal includes the use of a sealed chamber having a plurality of sealed light transmitting windows and a relatively large basin connected to the chamber by a large multi-channel conduit. A large fan exhausts gases, humidity and odor from the chamber into a lower portion of the basin. An upper portion of the basin includes a multi-layer grid including layers of hydro stones and/or artificial hydro stones, sand, fertilizer and earth together with a plurality of shallow rooted trees. Any carbon dioxide produced by the waste water is ultimately converted to oxygen.

  • Patent number: 8684551
Abstract: A lighting assembly in the form of a palm tree as a decorative and ornamental street light includes an upwardly extending shaft, a base and a mechanism for fixing and anchoring the shaft in a selected location. The base includes a plurality of downwardly extending rods and a mass of concrete around and in between the rods to anchor the assembly. The upwardly extending shaft also includes a bark like outer cover and a plurality of outwardly extending limbs in the form of a palm tree. A plurality of lights illuminating an area around the assembly, the tree limbs including fronds.

  • Patent number: 8529154
Abstract: The oil recovery system minimizes environmental contamination and oil leakage into the ocean in the event of a rupture of the hull of an oil tanker. The oil recovery system includes at least one buoyant reservoir for receiving recovered oil, which is deployed into the ocean upon detection of a breach or rupture in the hull of the oil tanker. At least one conduit is in fluid communication between at least one oil tank housed within the oil tanker and the at least one buoyant reservoir. Upon detection of an oil spill from the oil tanker, the at least one buoyant reservoir is released from the hull of the oil tanker into the water and oil from the at least one oil tank is routed to the at least one buoyant reservoir to minimize the size of the oil spill.
    Type: Grant
