    Abstract: A controller for oil well blowouts includes a barrel that fits closely around the collar connected to tubing extending into the oil well. The controller is placed over the collar so that the collar buts against a resilient ring so that the top of the collar is sealed by the ring to the barrel. The collar is pushed against the top by fingers of a collet. The collet is pushed upward by a nut that is on the bottom of the barrel.
