Various embodiments are provided. In one embodiment, the mixtures include dialkyl immidazoline quats and monoalkyl immidazoline quats. In one embodiment, the mixtures include dialkyl immidazoline quats and monoalkyl ammonium quats. Various methods of making immidazoline quats and quat mixtures, personal care and cosmetic products and formulations that contain the immidazoline quats and quat mixtures, methods of making such personal care and cosmetic products and formulations, and methods of using the such immidazoline quats, quat mixtures, and personal care and cosmetic products and formulations are also provided.
