Abstract: The present invention is a vent cover, kits comprising the vent cover and methods of using the vent cover to direct air flow from a ventilation duct such as those found in homes and businesses. The vent cover has a base, a plurality of concentric segments retractably connected to each other and the base; and a locking element connected to the base and surrounded by the innermost concentric segment. The locking element opens and closes the vent cover. In the open position the plurality of segments are expanded outward from the base allowing air to pass through the vent cover. In the closed position the plurality of concentric segments are retracted flush with the base preventing air from being released from the vent cover.
