  • Publication number: 20250323740
Abstract: A method for measuring radio interference at a center Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) device (CBSD) of a selected network operator operating one of a 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network or a 5G New Radio (NR) network, includes: instructing, by a radio measurement controller, the center CBSD to perform measurement of radio interference caused by an interfering radio source; instructing, by the radio measurement controller, at least one neighboring CBSD to stop radio service for at least one coordinated blank orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing symbol (CBOS), wherein the at least one CBOS is defined by a selected frequency range and a selected blanking time in one of a subframe or a slot in one of a time division duplex (TDD) downlink (DL) configuration or a TDD uplink (UL) configuration; and processing, by an interference processor associated with the center CBSD, the measured radio interference.

  • Publication number: 20250301340
Abstract: A method for optimizing operation of Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) network having a spectrum access system (SAS), a CBRS Domain Proxy (DP), and a CBRS device (CBSD) which is part of a Base Station (BS) serving user equipments (UEs), the method including: acquiring, by the CBSD or the DP, a frequency grant for a CBRS operating channel frequency and a list of available CBRS channel frequencies from the SAS; selecting, by the BS, specified UEs that are within the cell associated with the CBSD and receiving signal from the BS at a strength exceeding a specified threshold; instructing, by the BS, the selected UEs to perform measurements on neighboring cells and report any neighboring cell exceeding a specified interference threshold; and if the CBRS operating channel frequency experiences interference above the specified interference threshold, selecting the best available alternate CBRS channel frequency as the new operating channel frequency.

  • Publication number: 20250126516
Abstract: A system for optimizing shut-down and restart of an Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) radio unit (O-RU) deployed in an O-RAN Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) network includes: spectrum access system (SAS); CBRS Domain Proxy (DP) located in a Centralized Data Center (CDC); Cloud Management Service (CMS) located in the CDC; a first CBRS Interface Monitoring and Alert (CIMA) located in the CDC; a second CIMA located in a Distributed Data Center (DDC); at least one O-RAN Distributed Unit (O-DU) located in the DDC; a plurality of O-RAN Radio Units (O-RUs) located in the DDC; and an O1 interface connecting the CDC and DDC. The second CIMA located in the DDC monitors the O1 interface connection to the DDC, and if a failure of the O1 interface lasts longer than a specified time duration Sd, alerts the at least one O-DU regarding the failure of the O1 interface.

  • Patent number: 10356002
Abstract: Each of N sets of memory space bins are associated with a different processing deadline (N is an integer greater than two or one). Messages are received from multiple distinct sources (for example, received at a base station or network interface card from multi-points of a communication system) are stored in one of the memory space bins of the set whose processing deadline corresponds to a transmit deadline of the respective message. In response to a triggering condition for a respective set being satisfied, all the messages stored in any of the bins of the respective set are processed for transmission and the messages that were processed are cleared from their respective bins. In specific embodiments, the triggering condition is expiry of a timer offset ahead of the set's processing deadline, and each set's bin has a different priority and the processing is done in priority order.
